At the beginning of the month I joined a traditional on-line dating site. (as opposed to a sex site like Affairlook or Passion)
The first thing that surprised me was how many people from this site were also over there. (I ran into at least 8 in two weeks) 
The next thing that surprised me is how many guys recognized me over at that other site!!!  When you consider the fact that I don't post a photo of my face on here, that is really quite something! From that experience I drew the conclusion that like myself, many of the people on here are looking for more than just sex.
The third difference I found is the rudeness of people at the other site. There were a handful of men whom I sent e-mails to that didn't even bother to respond. Not even with a system generated message. Maybe if I sent them a photo of me in thigh high boots or a sexy nighty.......
The last thing that was different was the quantity of e-mail. And I suppose I knew going into it, that would be the case. I mean, on this site the odds are seriously in my favor and on the other site there are more women then men.
So, originally I came here because I'm not really interested in "vanilla" sex and I think the men here are a lot more open minded and accepting. But my reasons to continue and stay here: the men are more polite, they are more responsive and they are quite possibly looking for more than just a sex buddy.
Besides, you can't blog at those other sites!
So I want to know..... Do you belong to any of those other sites? And what differences, if any, have you noticed?

I have a friend that firmly believes you can tell how a person will behave in bed by how they behave on a date.
If I were to look at my own dating/sex style I would assume this theory to be true. For instance; on a date, sometimes I want my partner to make the majority of decisions (where we go, what time we go, etc.) and I'm content to sit back and let him steer the conversation. Other times I want to be in control and make the decisions and control the situation. But the majority of the time I am happiest switching back and forth between the more dominate roll and the more passive roll. This corresponds directly with how I behave in a sexual relationship. I am a "switch" in every way. But I am just one person.
