Ok, for the most part, this site has been good to me. It has helped me 1) get laid, and 2) meet amazing people in places like Tokyo, Seoul, and Moscow.
HOWEVER, I'm back in Toronto, and rather disappointed with the people on here. It seems people are on here for fantasy rather than actual meeting. I am getting tired of the endless emails, or even worse - the people who are on here, saying they are looking for a good guy, but choose to go on coffee dates with me, and instead will meet others purely for the sake of sex.
What's going on?

well, i'm single again
most unique/unexpected gift i got this year --- being dumped via mobile phone text messaging service (more unexpected than the blood pressure machine my bizarre friend thought i would have many fun hours with)

One of the things I like best about meeting couples from here is that it varies my routine.
Instead of going to the bar I go to every saturday, it was nice to change it up, and go over to someone's house.
Sober conversation over a couple of beers is a welcome change to getting drunk first, then trying to talk to people.

Finally able to function after Sunday night (way tooooooo much alcohol).

Just getting back from a walk. While out, decided to get naked - I figured, what the hell, I was alone.

well, today was a strange day.
i called my aunt to see how she is dealing after her 's death. much to my shock, my father was there! (read my previous entry and you will find out i thought he was dead)
he is still with her because he had a heart attack while visiting for the funeral.
my response was 'oh'. i'm not really sure how i should feel - i feel nothing.
my aunt was weeping on the phone telling me how she wishes my father and i could be close - but, he did disown me, call my mother a , insinuate i am a bastard (even though i am the spitting image of him) and then stopped all communication for years (about 7 now). am i wrong in not jumping up and down with joy at the prospect of this asshole coming back into my life? am i wrong for not feeling badly about his health?

well, it's been a stressful last few weeks -- some good stress some not so good.
my mom is now on machines for 8 hours a day to help her breathing - no guilty feelings about being the only and i'm half way around the world from her (oy! if only i had a sibling to do the worrying for me)
found out my father who i assumed had died years ago is alive and kicking, found that out at the same time i learnt my cousin committed suicide.
a new school semester means retraining the after a summer away.
but, at least, there has been some great sex! a few really hot one night stands ( a couple of them 3 somes -- i love travellers from abroad!), and i finally hooked up with a friend of mine and his wife. he and i had gotten together a few times, but it was great to finally have the 3 of us together.

just got in from the overnight bus nagoya-shinjuku.
was better than i expected!
had a great time in nagoya. the first night my friend and I went to the park ( lots of mosquitoes), and then had some fun inside a house that was being built. the floors weren't finished, so we had to watch our step, but it was fun.
the next day, i wandered around nagoya - it's a nice city; enjoyed the free concerts and reading in the park.
evening time rolled around which meant a wonderful 3p with my friend and his gf and my first dp experience (pic, however, is just her and me).
afterwards, dinner at a great moroccan restaurant. from there, went to the bus station, caught the last bus to shinjuku, which arrived at 6am.

woke up at 6am, showered, made coffee.
called mom to make sure her flight got her home ok - i was worried, her health took a turn for the worse while she was here and had to cut her vacation 10 days short. she is seriously jet lagged and not making any sense today, i'll try again in a couple of days and maybe she will be coherent.
