each of us has a ring of keys
to unlock lifes little mysteries
some unlock doors through which we wish to pass
although some doors stay firm and fast

it is easy to feel down spirited when no doors seem to open for you
but you see other pass right through
your keys jingle for what seems like the end of time
and still no open doors do you find

to you dear friend I give my cheer
and please take this virtual beer
come and join me in celebration
that someone has found their elation

perhaps we are just tring too hard
always checking all our cards
but listen birdsong fills the air
let the sunshine melt away your dispair

for james and mel have tied the knot
and their love I see is still red hot
of them let us congradulate
perhaps even we shall find our soul mate

let us not envy and sink in jealous dispair
instead let it be a sign not a cross to bare
somewhere out there are our soul mates too
with love and happyness I hope you find yours soon

giggles of joy
my soul laid bare

I have a female red tailed boa constrictor who is very gentle and good natured as far as reptiles go. It doesnt bite and it loves to curl up arround a warm body but not so tightly that it chokes or hurts you. It has this really strange habit of sticking its tounge in your ear or on your lips which tickles but is annoying.

She loves to come out of the cage and hunt for mice but you have to keep a hand on her or she gets into places difficult to get her out of. I have allready taken apart my sofa and the console of my car becouse she wouldnt let go and come out. The car story is interesting becouse we put her in the car hoping she could help us catch a stray mouse that got out of the pet store container on the way home. It was areally bad idea that required me to take apart the car to remove her while my held the rest of her.

She is now about 5 feet long, and 2-3 inches in diameter. She is quite capable of eating a small rabbit. She is so strong that she can stand errect for at least two feet.

Surprise surprise she was able to pull the metal mesh on the top of the cage away from the metal frame that sandwiched the mesh in place. Soooo now I have a free roaming iguana and a free roaming boa constrictor. I hope it doesnt hang out on top of my clothers like the iguana sometimes does. It scares me every time it happens.

Any ideas on how to catch it?

What did you do this weekend? I took my boys out on that golden father and fishing trip. The boys wanted to go fishing so I got them up at 4am yesterday. At first there was nothing but complaints about getting up at such an early hour. They slept and I drove to a charter boat in Port Clinton Ohio. Minus a few bucks later for supplies and a fishing licence we were on the water. The water was a bit rough and my youngest bent over the side rather suddenly. I said are you feeling ill? He opened his mouth to reply and instead fed the fish his breakfast. Well I guess it answered my question. I let him empty out for a few minutes and then held him while he took a nap. He did perk up after a while and was the only one of us to catch something. Unfortunately he only snagged some zebra muscles.

I couldnt believe all of the people out in small watercraft wearing foul weather gear. They looked like they were on a roller coaster.

I hope camping next weekend is more enjoyable.

Oops my profile sounded rather S and M

A beautiful woman made a comment to me that my profile was a little heavy into S and M. So I finally took a minute to check through my profile and I was surprised at some of the answers that I put down. It's not that I'm opposed to alternate activities it's just that I don't live and breath them. I think I was tired after answering all of the questions and started thinking yeah that sounds interesting, I'd try that once. But when I reread it myself, it I noticed it sounded like I was a poster for ALT.

To those of you that I have had the pleasure of meeting (MID, Mel, Playtime, BHL, Lemon Drops, Sweet Cheeks(love that name), Mr Rarity, Dimples, and I know I'm forgetting a number of you) I noticed I have no testimonys. If you would please set the record straight I would be ever so delighted.

Friends and neighbors

My neighbors are going through a divorce and I've been tring to help their two cope with the stress. She showed up the other day to pick up the so I said hi and noticed the youngest talking about a slap. So when she left I walked over to talk to him. Both of them are my friends so I stay neutral. She has found a new man who has 4 and two exwives. He's going out of his way to wine and dine her. She is a very lovely young woman. I had hoped she might wait a bit before moving on so that she could think clearly. Not for my own interests becouse I couldn't do that to my friends.

He called her a and she slapped him right in front of the . So I gave him a lecture on being civil at least in front of the . She drove back in tears while I was standing there and he decided to apologize. He said I'm sorry we're going through a divorce and sometimes we will say things to each other. A good start but a bit insensitive. However she being allready pissed off told him she had deep pockets to which he replied well I guess I hit it right on the bullseye. Vrroom off went the car with the in the back seat.

All I can do is shake my head. I'm glad I'm not paying the lawyers.

Well enough procrastinating
ciao

I don't know what keeps my father in Minnesota as I am here and its really really cold there in the winter. I have to admit its beautiful in the summer at least where he lives arround the inland lakes.

He told me that he still has two feet of snow. So do you have snow? How was your winter? Do you cry when you look at your winter gas bill?

so many questions, so little time

Shoe shopping is near

Spring means cleaning out all of the old things that are broken and worn out. Why we dont throw them out in the fall is a mystery to me.

I managed to get rid of an entire garbage bag of worn out shoes. The winter salt is hard on them and so am I!

So that means its almost time to go shoe shopping! Anyone interested in joining me? Know of any good shoe sales?

I know a man who loves to go shopping is strange, but I classify it with a woman who likes to watch the big game on TV. Different but interesting as well.

Today was beautiful tee-shirt weather. The sun was warm and the birds were singing. Crocus' blume in many yards filling the entire lawn with hues of purple, gold and white. Soon the trees will burst into color and I... well I'll get out there to do the gargen and flower beds eventually.

Wow the days are streaming past so fast weekends seem to end in weekends. I started playing racket ball again and I feel so alive yet so tired. I have to say there are a number of very young freshmen girls working out as I walk by to the court.

smells like a dead animal

First let me say that we work with a lot of genetically altered mice and they do get away from time to time. Of course you have to catch the little buggers and sometimes they are clever little buggers.

The other relevant piece of background information is that my chinese is almost non existant and sometimes their english is lacking.

Did you ever have one of those days where your intestines were talking more often that you were? I had one the other day while at work. Some virus has been making the rounds.
I thought I was going to die but I held one of those silent but deadly bursts for 30 minutes until I could escape to the isle way and toot in freedom. It was silent and oh lord it smelled awful.

Just my luck one of my chinese coworkers needed to ask me a question. His face turned green when he got a whiff. Then he asked me if I would help him search for a dead mouse. I quietly said I'm sorry it's me. No no he said you dont understand, something smells like a dead animal help me search for a dead mouse. Again I replied sorry it was me. No no it smells really bad he said.
So having no pride left I just came out and said it so he could understand. I'm sorry. I farted. That bad smell was me. I made that smell. There is no dead mouse.

Then he started laughing and walked away.

Oh I hate days like that!

still no bus

well I went to the bus station at noon after tring to call them all day. The people waiting for 2 days for the bus to leave were gone but there were 100 people in line at the ticket counter and when I walked out of the station there was a line of cars waiting to park in the parking garage that went arround the block!

So I decided that It would be faster to just take her myself. At least this time I didn't pay $8 for parking, I parked on the other side of the block and waded through the snow in the still unplowed parking lot. Ok my pants were a bit wet but I'm not paying $8 to park for 5 minutes!

On my way around to pick my I noticed a taxi van in the street with his hood up. When I parked in front of him to load up the suitcases (again) I noticed that his starter was clicking so I asked him if he needed a jump. He didnt think his battery was dead but I convinced him that it makes that sound when the battery is low. So I made a U turn in the middle of the road and pulled up in front of him. His van started right up with a jump! He was so happy he hugged me. Awkard! He couldn't believe that anyone would help him as a lot of people had given him the finger instead. Well thats me Mr nice guy! I get a hug from a taxi driver but not hot women... sigh!

The drive to Toleodo was easy once we got past Cleveland. They barely had any snow while the suburbs were lined with oveturned cars and spun out semi trucks.

At 6am this morning the road was the same height as the sidewalk and impassable so we waited until 11 and I endevored to drive downtown to the bus station. So much for the quick jacket repair. Heading down a relatively steep hill I decided to put on the brakes 1 block early. The car went 90 degrees to the right then 90 degrees to the left then 90 degrees to the right again and finally straightened up at the red light and stopped. My said something about its a good thing we didnt have much traffic to which I replied tell that to my pants I think I need to change them. (Not really but my heart was racing). Actually pumping the brakes and quick changes in steering helped a lot.

So we arrived downtown at the bus station and of course the parking lot is unplowed and has at least 1 foot of snow. I asked my to go into the station and see if the bus line was even operating. She went in and came out with a yes it is. Good I thought so I paid $8 to put my car in the parking garage. I was the only person in line at the ticket counter besides the person being helped. So I was a bit surprised when some guy walked right past us to wait for the lady issuing the tickets. I thought what a jerk but I held my tounge as it was only one more person. Then I heard him say to woman behind the counter "I've been waiting for two days in this bus station and I'm going to a motel to get some sleep. Are you going to honor my ticket? Sure she said and he stomped off. Ok so he had a reason to be a bit irritated and I've never been happier to keep quiet becouse he was pissed off.

Upon my turn the lady at the counter informed me that the bus would not be departing until 3pm and perhaps not even then. Thank you to my for asking if the bus was operating less than 5 minutes before.

So on the way home she was hungry and wanted some Mc Donalds. Yuck but ok. So I turned down a side street and pulled on to Euclid ave which is under construction in places to accomidate the new RTA silver line bus. I kept having to drive arround cars stuck in the snow but I made it to McD's. I did see several RTA buss' stuck in the road going the other way. After McD's someone almost smashed into me becouse they were driving backwards down euclid ave. I let them by then discovered after a block and a snow drift that an RTA bus was stuck in front of me so I went backwards as well and finally made it on to a side street. When I arrived home I found a car wedged in my driveway and one accross the street so I had to circle the block to park at the other house. Of course I got stuck going arround the block in a snow drift but shoveled my way clear and went home!
