G'day, I'm Sharon/Shazzi and all friendly happy people are welcome to visit and comment on my blog. So lemme say upfront Keep smiling, and Welcome.

Kissing Quotes from Me, Kissu Shazzi.....

~ In all honesty, if i react, respond, favorably too your kiss,
when i REALLY kiss you back,
you can BE SURE,
each, and every Kiss, I gift you,
is a jewel from my Lips.~

~ The next time you kiss someone, take time too feel the intent behind the Kiss, the intention may be MORE, or LESS, than you bargained for, but it's truth will be there none the less ~

~ An amazing Kiss,
that Kiss that leaves you craving for the next.
That kiss is....
The prelude too untold magic.
take the leap and see where it takes you ~

~ If a kiss is really, really awful, all it can do is leave you cold....
Soooo let it go....
NOTHING spectacular comes from mediocre.
Someone who takes no pride, time, or puts no effort into the ART of an UNFORGETTABLE kiss, will put little effort into anything more ~

~ If we all kissed more often, even just a friendly kiss on the cheek, this world would be a much happier place.~

Last but not least.....

What does one do when faced with a dilemma?

So i'm an animal lover from way back, having said that, ANY species on mass, even human beings, can become a problem.

My problem at the moment is not humans, but mice. Mind you i'm not the only one. It seems there are a gazillion of the fury little critters slinking their way into the homes of folks around Canberra at the moment.

Each night, a few weeks back now, as i lay me down to sleep, i started hearing the tell tail sounds of scurrying little feet in my roof.....

'Ahhhh I'll have to get some baits up in there,' i said to self.

It was only about a week later i spied what looked to be a well fed plump fury little critter scooting along the skirting boards in the lounge, up and down the hall way, squeezing himself under my bedroom door, and zipping in under my wardrobe to chill a while before the next run.....'I don't be think so Mr Meecie,' i said to self.

If you spot a mouse, don't EVER be fooled into thinking there is only one mouse in the house, where there is ONE mouse, there is a NEST of the stinky little rodents.

When you get up close, like if you have a pet mouse, one on it's own is the cutest little thing, although they are still quiet smelly unless you keep their little mouse house impeccably clean.

Ferrel mice are NOT like pet mice. They come in hoards, they get into everything, they eat anything and they crap and pee A LOT.

So off the the shops i went, i got me some traps, and baits.

So far the mice seem to be smarter that me, i have only managed to trap three, and accidentally got one alive when it somehow fell into the bath tub. The mice caught by the traps, although sad to have to kill anything, it's a quick kill, it's not hands on, so relatively guilt free. The little bubby (baby) mouse that somehow slipped into the bathtub, unable to get back out due to the smooth sides, was a different problem altogether.

My Nat comes into me one morning last week and says,"Ummmm Mum, there is a mouse in the bath tub, what will we do with it?"

Me, "Ummmmmm shit, i dunno, leave it and let me think about it for a while"

Some time later.....

My appears at the door, mouse in hand saying.....

"Awwwww look at it Mum, it's sooooooooo frigging cuuuuuuute, it's a bubby one, look at it's little eyes, nose, ears, feet...."

Me.....Looks at the cute fury little thing staring at me and my with it's 'pleading for mercy' little eyes.....

"I know, i know Nat, one on it's own IS really cute, and the baby ones are so adorable, but it's not just this one little mouse on it's own is it!?" "Put it back in the bathtub where it can't escape and let me think some more about what to do with it.....(((((AND WASH YOUR BLOODY HANDS PROPERLY!!!")))))

Some more time later.....

My is heading out to her girlfriends place and again appears in front of me with this pathetic little creature in her hands saying.....

"Mum, i gotta go, what are we going to do with this little mouse?"

So together we ran through our options.....

Option 1 - We could put enough water in the bath so that it will eventually drown through exhaustion....To slow

Option 2 - I ask my if she can swing it round by the tail and crack it up against the brick wall outside.....A quick death but neither of us had the stomach for it.

Option 3 - Lets just drop it in the outside bin and eventually it will die..... No good, cos it will climb out over the rubbish and be back to it's nest and in the house again in no time.

Just let the little thing go i hear you saying, but that is not an option either. We are having a mouse plague in Canberra and releasing them is just an absurd thing to do.

Option 4 - What about if we put it in a plastic bag and let it suffocate? Again, to slow.

Option 5 - Put it in a bag and then into the freezer..... Again to slow.

By this time i was getting so stressed about how to dispose of this little mouse in the quickest most humane way possible i was quiet beside myself. As we discussed the various plastic bag options i had walked to the kitchen, got a bag and walked back to my with said bag.....

If you are at all squeamish, now would be the time to read no further.....

My looked at me as i held the bag open in front of her and said.....

"Put it in the bag Nat, PUT IT IN THE BAG!"

No sooner had she put the mouse in the bag that i swung the bag round and cracked it up against the brick wall out on the back step.

Nat and i stood staring at each other in shock for a second and then i said.....

"It's DONE.....I can't even believe i just did that.....But it's done."

Nat sprouts.....

"I don't think it's dead mum."

My gut churned at the possibility it could still be alive.
As i told Nat to check, i'm telling myself, 'I know how hard that little thing hit the wall, pleeeeeeeease tell me it's dead.'

Next thing i hear my saying.....

"OMG a few seconds ago he was all warm furry, soft n cute, now he looks like this....."

At that point my rolls her eyes back in the head, hangs her tongue out the side of her mouth, stiffens her body in a rigor like manner and says......

"Yep, he's cactus Ma."

With that, we buried the now STIFF little mouse in the bin by the step, and i said.....

(((((NOW WASH YOUR BLOODY HANDS PROPERLY!!!")))))

I did feel awful, but i was glad that it was over quick......Well after all the debate about how to kill the damn thing, it was anyway.

With that job done, my baits are out, and the traps are all set in readiness for the rest of that little mouse's family.....
As cute as they are they are uninvited, and VERY smelly guessed and I WILL get the upper hand.

Ever had to do something that totally goes against your nature?

The Significance Of A Sprig Of Rosemary On ANZAC Day

Rosemary is a small perennial shrub of the mint family. This compact evergreen, with clusters of small light blue flowers and leaves that yield a fragrant essential oil used in making perfume and to flavour food, is native to the Mediterranean region.

Legend says that the Virgin Mary, while resting, spread her cloak over a white flowering rosemary bush. The flowers turned the blue of her cloak, and from then on the bush was referred to as the “Rose of Mary”.

This plant was, in ancient times, supposed to strengthen memory. Greek scholars wore rosemary in their hair to help remember their studies, and the association with remembrance has carried through to modern times. In literature and folklore it is an emblem of remembrance.

On ANZAC Day, the wearing of small sprigs of rosemary in the coat lapel, pinned to the breast or held in place by medals is thus synonymous with remembrance and commemoration.

Traditionally, sprigs of rosemary are worn on ANZAC Day and sometimes on Remembrance Day, and are usually handed out by Legacy and the RSL.

Rosemary has particular significance for Australians, as it is found growing wild on the Gallipoli peninsula.

They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Something you should know about "I'm Scared"
Lyrics Duffy - And FELT by ME!

The blank pages of my diary,
That I haven't touched since you left me,
The closed blinds in my home,
See no light or day,
Dust gathers on my stereo,
Cause I can't bare to hear the radio,
The piano sits in a shaded space,
With a picture of your face,

I'm scared to face another day,
Coz' the fear in me just won't go away,
In an instance,
You were gone,
And now I'm scared.....

Coffee stains on your favourite book,
Remind me of you so I can't take a look,
The magazines you left on the floor,
You won't need them anymore,
A towel left hanging on the wall,
No sign of wet footsteps in the hall,
There's no smell of your sweet cologne,
I'm lying here alone,

I'm scared to face another day,
Coz' the fear in me just won't go away,
In an instance,
You were gone,
And now I'm scared.....

I'm scared to face another day,
Coz' the fear in me just won't go away,
In an instance,
You were gone,
And now I'm scared.....

In an instance you were gone,
I'm scared.....

The wedding, between my , and his bride, absolutely blew me away.

I can best some it up by a text message i sent my and beautiful inlaw as they set off for their honey moon. I know they don't mind me sharing this...

"J & M, Without question your wedding was the most beautiful wedding i have ever experienced.
I have never been more proud of you J.
I've always known how much you loved M,
but to see the look on your face as she walked down those stares towards you and to actually hear you suck in that breath of air because she quiet literally took your breath away,
was nothing short of beautiful.
M, you ARE indeed beautiful, inside and out.
I want you to know i love you very much Sweetheart.
I love you BOTH dearly.
Have a wonderful honey moon,
and remember to ALWAYS take quiet moments too look at each other like you did on your wedding day.
The love in your eyes was palpable and,
for those of us lucky enough too witness that,
we can only be affected in a positive way.
Treasure each other always
because you are INDEED treasures.
All my love to you both
♥ xoxoxoxoxoxox ♥"

So things have been pretty full on around mine lately.

My first born and his long time sweetheart are getting married.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

They have been together for eight years now, so it's kind of a natural progression, however now that the wedding is only four days away it's hard to believe it's all actually happening.

This passed weekend was the hens and bucks nights.

The hens night started at one o'clock Saturday afternoon, and went till sometime the following morning.

It was a hoot!

The bride to be got rather inebriated, thanks to all the drinking games played. Her reaction to the stripped PRICELESS, and by 10 pm she was laying on a sofa declaring she was done! lol
Her bridesmaids, well in party mode, continued to party on around her lol

The Groom to be, his groomsmen, and a bunch of friends, all went on a road trip to Sydney and partied hard all weekend, and from all i've been told they had a blast.

With the parties done, everyone home safe n sound, it's full steam ahead to the nuptials.

I popped around the following day to see how our bride to be had pulled up after the night before. Surprisingly she was in pretty good shape. While chatting away with her i commented, "You know Hunni, as inebriated as you were last night, i can't believe you managed to look breathtakingly stunning from start to last."

She is an incredibly beautiful young woman, a real head turner. Pretty sure i will tear up as soon as i see her in her wedding gown....Hell, she and i had a particularly moving moment on the hens night where we teared up, hugged and told each other how much we loved each other, i can only imagine i will be even more emotional on Saturday when i see my handsome and his stunning bride walking back down the isle after the 'I Do's' are said and done.

Yesterday my and i had a few hours alone together. He told me all about his bucks night, how much fun he'd had, even though he too was passed out by 10pm LOL

After recounting his night he looked at me and said, "Mum, i can't wait till the wedding, i can't wait to marry my girl, i love her so much." We hugged and i told him how incredibly proud of him i am. My handsome , with his BIG beautiful loving heart......

Sometimes there are no words to express the love you have inside for your babies, even when they ARE all grown up, all you can do is squeeze them, tell them you love them, and smile from your toes up.

Man is a woman's best friend.

He will reassure her when she feels insecure and comfort her after a bad day.

He will inspire her to do things she never thought she could do,
to live without fear and forget regret.

He will enable her to express her deepest emotions
and give in to her most intimate desires.

He will make sure she always feels that she's the most beautiful woman in the room and will enable her to be confident, sexy, seductive, and invincible.

No wait... sorry... I'm thinking of wine.

Its wine that does all that
.

Sorry.

Pash between the lines honey read my lips

thats where I belong, passionate kisses
kiss me, kiss me, kiss me

Oooh oooh oooh
Im on fire when you love me
kiss me passionately
pash me, pash me, pash me

Pash beneath the signs of a neon mall
lost between the now and the human sprawl
We really love to just hang around

Oooh oooh oooh
cause Im on fire when you love me
kiss me passionately
pash me, pash me, pash me
