Why does Passion.com work better?

So passion.com seems to be the same site as Affairlook, if i recall Affairlook took them over a while ago or maybe they were always the same.
One thing is for sure, features that don't work for me on Affairlook, like search, work fine on passion.com
Anyone know why this is?

Tips for making the most of basic accounts

I've been a basic member here for a while and I thought I'd take some time to point out how to make the most of it.
The top thing of course is to collect points, you can redeem these to email people and view profiles. You can get points by replying to articles, blogs and groups or creating posts on articles, blogs and groups. Please don't just spam them though, you might get banned and as you'll see, they can be very important tools for meeting people.
Your username is important, it can be descriptive and if you plan ahead it can help people contact you. Many people use the same name on other services including as their email address, especially the Y thing. You can often try IMing or emailing them on those. Affairlook does censor attempts to post direct links to other email services, but if you think a little you can often suggest it.
Remember that other basic users can only see your profile pop-up containing your name, status and the first few lines of your profile, so use them wisely.
Create a blog, group or article. Anyone can read and reply to them, so it's a very important avenue of communication. Blog posts and replies can also be marked private, so only the blog owner can read the replies, so you don't have to share communications with everyone.

Affairlook broken down?

It seems like half of the site is broken lately.
Search won't work at all for me, the page loads but just shows a spinning grey 'loading' wheel and when redeeming points to send an email the send button is greyed out no matter what username I address it to.
Is anyone else having issues?

I've been on an off the site a while and I'm wondering, has anyone else had any strange run ins with people they know outside the site?
for example, accidentally flirting with a relative or co-worker?

SO I haven't posted any profile pic yet, and I'm feeling a bit ambivalent about it.
I know it's a big thing to a lot of people, many won't even reply or contact you without one, but I can't seem to get over the odd feeling of posting my pic.
I mean a facepic, of course, it's not that I'd care about showing my dick, but unless you're john Holmes or can do puppetry with it, putting your dick in your profile seems a bit much.
I suppose it could be fear of exposure, but I don't think i care if people who know me see me here, anyway if they can see my pic then they must be here for something too.
I myself, appreciate when someone is confident enough to post a facepic, but a lack of one doesn't stop me from contacting anyone.
Half the people on my hotlist have no pics.
I suppose i should just post one and be done with it
