Been a Long Time, Been a Long Time..

I see that others here have outgrown this place.

I don't blog anywhere else.

Dunno if that's a good thing or a bad one.

I pop in every few months to see if anything's changed. Nothing really has other than time passes, I get older and more complacent.

Rocky and I are still together (go figure). He has my grand 's picture as the screen saver on his phone, that says a lot to me.

Generally I'm content.

I worry about some things, nothing personal, more on a national level. Wonder what'll happen when China wants us to repay them?

We've been discussing disconnecting the satellite dish because we're both knowledge whores, different subjects but whores nonetheless. It's easier to not feel guilty about watching 4 hours of TV at a time if you can justify it by learning something ya just didn't know before.

Still fishing, caught a really, really ugly 5 pound or so blue catfish - on 4 pound test tada! Put him back in the water, prehistoric looking thing, slimy!

Some of the trees are losing their color already, sycamores and sweet gums. A house up the street has banana trees, they kinda wilt and turn yellow when autumn approaches. Can't wait for cooler weather. 180 buck power bill last month!

Gotta get back to NatGeo and feed my mind. See ya.

Hi Wendy
I'm glad to hear that you're generally content. I suppose that is all any of us should aspire to achieve, exactly because it IS achievable.

I caught a 3 1/2# largemouth on Friday evening; and a bunch of perch and small northern pike. Then the cold front blew thru and the fishing died. Oh well, it was a fun evening.

Hugs to you
Chas

Most likely, China won't want any repayment as long as the American consumer keeps buying Chinese product. I'm astonished to hear that you can learn things from your TV, I avoid mine because all I ever see on it are brain sucking reality(?) and crime shows. As for the fishing, it's been a bit slow; last trout I caught went 3.5lb and the new season starts 1st Oct.

I'm glad to see you are still blogging away. So many have left that the place seems a little different these days.

Good to see you are still at it though.

...they will take possession of the western states of the USA as compensation, surely
