the eyes do not have it
the eyes do not have it i was watching something or other and a man identified a suspect by remembering his eyes while the person was wearing a balaclava. it is sais that the eyes are the windows to the soul. and a lot of people will say they notice eyes first. i doubt that/) let's try a little experiment, shall we. think of your five closest friends. what color eyes do they have. could you draw the shape of their eyes? if you can, well you go sit over there because you are in a minority......grins. and you don't support my idea. i think for me, i could identify the people i know by their smell. i have a finely honed nose and smells get to me like nothing else. unless a person covers their natural odor with a scent, i think it is very distinct. i could tell who was outside my office before they knocked on my door. it isn't that they were stinky.......at least not all of them...smiles.....but they were themselves. i also think mouths are more distinctive than eyes. i would watch mouths at meetings for "tells". people could keeps their eyes rather stable, but mouths would moue or twitch or get licked........always in play it seemed. and the ines around the mouth tell a lot as well. anger, disdain, happiness. so, the question is what do you use for your silent tell. and could you remember the color of the eyes of your nearest and dearest? and if you couldn't.......does it matter in the least? You cannot conceive the many without the one. |

I can tell you color but hell no, I couldn't draw them. Having said that, I do think I could pick their eyes out of a group of eyes like above. I can usually recognize people I know from far away by their walk. That to me is as distinctive as fingerprints. Smells - my nose is pretty sensitive but I don't think I smell that specifically. There are some other body parts that I could pick my friends by as well - those too are as distinctive as fingerprints!!!! xoxo Always tell the truth Use kind words Keep your promises Giggle and laugh Be positive Love one another Always be grateful Forgiveness is mandatory Try new things Say please and thank you Say your prayers Smile ~Author unknown

I looked someone in the eye once and it felt like I was drowning in her eyes, that she could reach in and see what secrets I keep hidden. I never did that again.

I don't think I could identify most people by their eyes. Maybe if they were somehow very distinctive...that might work. I love the smell of women. (You used to be able to say 'the scent of a woman' until the movie made it a cliché.) But still, some women smell especially delicious. I'm not sure my nose can tell very many apart as individuals- once again, unless there's something really unique that sets her apart. I could however, identify my wife by her snore! I had to mentally re-look at old pictures of my closest friends but yes, I know their eye colors... shapes? meh, not so much without other comparisons. I also had to mentally think if actually HAVE any secret tells.... and I don't think I do. I have my "itis"... my "giveashit-itis" in that people are FAR more personal and honest with me than I ever wanted. Nothing sense-based gets through to me that quickly, mostly it's that 6th sense... vibe/feel/energy/etc

My face shows evry thought. I can't hide anything. I pay very little attention to details. Because of this, I force myself to find something to compliment so I can remember.

Nope. Can only remember the name of the friend who has "green eyes" in her email address. But, smells, you're right...they trigger my sensory memory.

Ah, but the spirit that dwells in the eyes is the thing. Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale Her infinite variety. Other women cloy The appetites they feed, but she makes hungry Where most she satisfies. For vilest things Become themselves in her, that the holy priests Bless her when she is riggish. ~~ from Antony & Cleopatra
