woke up, got out of bed

woke up, got out of bed busy day and night. lots to do. been fielding calls since 8 AM. last minute table changes and stuff but that's par for the course. and i think we'll pull it off....we always do. my staff is terrific. and i have a board member who is creativity personified who is coming early to help make sure we look good. all i have to do really is be organized. and that is my strong suit. oh and make all the comedians feel like stars. which they are. i had hats made for them this year. kinda over the t-shirts. and i always bring cigars and candy for their table. drinks are of course on me. over the years, fewer of them drink though. we're all getting older. laughing for a couple of hours will be a treat. it's a good way to raise money. no one goes away mad....smiles. now if my feet hold out, i'll see you on the flip side. You cannot conceive the many without the one. |

Organized--HA! I used to be organized. Ya know, oui-oui... I've actually, in the past, had all my dirty dishes stacked in order of placement into the dishwashin' machine. But now... I just stick 'em in there any which way; who cares if the suckers are properly placed? If they come out clean, I'm good to go. If they come out dirty? Well, I just add more soap to the little soap-holder doohickey and run them things back through another cycle. The highest number of cycles I've ever had to use is five. The least number, under ideal conditions--three. I'd say organization is a way over-rated commodity--for dish-washin' purposes, anyway.  Solar...
