Curious why people do not respond with a not interested?

I am very<b> curious </font></b>why the people on this site will not answer a message. I get that we are all busy. I get that we are all not everyone's cup of tea. Is it so hard just respond with a no so that a person knows where they stand?

I am not here pester anyone. I get that no response is an indication of no interest however I have little confidence in the messages I being seen. I also am not sure that ones sent I get see.

A simple response "no" tells right were I stand.
