Married and having an affair
In your opinion, if you are married is it safer to be seeing another married person or someone that is single (unattached)? Please comment as to why you voted one way or the other .

 My thinking is that it might be safer to see another married person due to each party having something at stake.

 You're right, from the married persons perspective, having an affair with another married person is less risky than having the affair with a single person.

But.... from the single persons perspective, having an affair with the married individual is also less risky, than having the affair with another single person.

 Depends on the danger you are trying to avoid.

If you're trying to avoid your wife finding out, a married woman is best.

If you're trying to avoid being shot by a jealous husband then single women would be best.

If you're trying to avoid a committed relationship developing, a married woman with a rich husband is best.
Following my advice may cause injury, insanity, financial loss, hemorrhoids, death and superpowers

 I didn't vote because I think the risk is 50/50. Not all single women are looking for love or marriage. If they're career professionals discretion is important to them too.

With a married woman, not feeling satisfied with what she has now, is as likely to develop feelings or dish with one of her girlfriends. The risk of getting caught increases if the spouses don't know, because now 2 people are making excuses, covering up, increasing potential to be caught.

Your observation about the number of married people on the site is a good one. It also brings up the question: How many married people check off the married box on here? Full disclosure.

Seems to be another good observation. So it sounds that if you see a married person, the best situation might be is if they are in an open marriage.

 It would make the most sense to deal with someone who has just as much to lose as you do. If you decide to deal with another married person, hopefully the person is as discreet as they say they are.
