Is the term "Gurl" offensive to some people?

I have noticed some get offended by this term....your thoughts?

 The term Gurl really doens't bother me. I maybe way off but I feel its ore of a term for CDs. So that could be why I am OK with it

 I"m willing to play as a guy or girl. I just prefer the term gurl vs. CD, if someone has a problem, we likely won't be crossing paths. Rikki
