Life Is An Adventure

Life is sometimes funny. You never know where life will take you or what it will bring each day we wake up. We don't know what to expect. Sometimes we often take for granted what life has given us or what it is offering to us. I have come to realize over the last year what life is truly about and realized how much I took for granted.A lot of bumps & hurdles developed on my path that steered me in wrong directions that not only caused pain to myself but caused pain to those that matter to me. I was on the edge of self destruction when like a hard kick to the ass reality brought me back.I had left people that mattered to me the most hurt and broken. I realized at that very moment I didn't want to be alone, I didn't want to lose my greatest treasures..my family. So like falling off a bike when you first learning to ride, I picked myself up, dusted myself off, stood tall with head held high and began a new adventure of correcting my wrongs, fixing the damage I had done, and worked on becoming a better person not just for myself, but also for the people who matter the most to me...my husband & my family. So as I look back on the good and bad I realize life truly is an adventure, whether it be bad or good . And not only is it an adventure its the story of our lives, with several chapters that only we alone can write.. Its up to us whether we want to continue to write many chapter of our lives no matter how good or bad....either way we all have to look back with no regrets and leave all the pain in the past. If we don't we just may miss a very important chapter in our life's adventures

How do you know who you are, without the people around you acting as mirrors. We are what we expect the people around us to be, sometime we get lost and wish to find our true identity, but there is not way to know the self, without the information bounce back from the people that surrounds us. Infact, we are what we are surrounded by, when we die, these people will write our epitaph and tell the world who we were, so we really live longer than our lives, because these people remember us, for what we truly were.
Its important, to then, realize that our actions affect these people and finally who are these people? Our family and very close friends, who really love and hate us for what we truly are.
Acknowledging the beauty of these external people in our life is the only way forward, to a happier and meaningful life.

We all make mistakes, Connie, sometimes they're simply small mistakes, sometimes they're big, and serious mistakes. It can happen to anyone, even those who you'd never expect to lose control of their life. Thankfully, you realized you were on the wrong road before it was too late. Sadly, many people fail to save themselves and their loved ones suffer greatly. I know....I lost a dear friend because she went down the wrong road. Her husband and children tried to help her, as did her family and friends. Sadly, we couldn't save her. A tip of the hat to you, Connie, for doing what was right...… May you continue on the right road for many more years!
