If Someone Were To Ask... How Would You Describe Yourselves... 🤔

He wondered, if someone were to ask him about her - and seek a description or a noun - he wouldn't know what to say.

Were they lovers or did they simply benefit from friendship? Was it possible they were more? He was almost convinced ; or was that simply lust, pretending to be something else? He was confused, about which words to use.

Especially... since they'd never met.

Sometimes, you can try too hard to make things fit. For many it would still be nice, to have to answer a question like that... once in a while.

That question has come up.
But not often enough. 😶

How often is there a connection, but you just don't meet? 🤔

I'd say it probably happens more often than people are willing to admit.

Whenever I feel that connection (and I do feel them) I try and plan a vacation to make the meet possible.

Admittedly though, I often end up singing with the Temptations, "But it was just my imagination runnin' away with me-once again",

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I went on a million 1st dates, never got the second. I had a few second and third, and connected with a few. But there are many who just want to chat.

I believe sometimes the connection online happens quicker and more deeply than it does in real life. If we are truly honest and open, we allow ourselves to be vulnerable quicker than we would with someone we met at say, the produce section in the grocery store. I define them as friends, perhaps even intimate friends, never lovers until we do meet.

Nice song. It's a challenge to measure the pros and cons of voyage with THAT as the ONLY goal.
Well... ya got to visit a something interesting (hopefully) and take a pic... or two, share a laugh or three.

There are quite a few who DO want to simply chat.
Nothing wrong with THAT, unless you're looking for more.
I understand what you mean.

It's true. It's as if there was a password that was already given. Although.. sometimes people fake it easier, behind a screen and a keyboard.
I've been fooled more often - in person. They said and DID, all the right things... until they didn't.
Or is my heart too cold?

It doesn't? Hmmm... I often wonder (even if I'm miles away) , what it would be like, to be closer. I fool myself into thinking that, if I was nearer - the trek to familiarity and something more, would be an interesting one.
Even 'here' that term 'friendship' simply accords (the other), access to one's 'private pics and videos'. If that's all it is - what is it?

I would describe myself as a "PEOPLE PERSON" as that's how many describe me. It was a great question to ask, Although I agree with everyone else it doesn't come up often. I hope you have a great evening..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I was in a very long line at LA International Airport waiting to have my luggage checked by TSA. The man behind me and I started chatting mostly about why the line was so long and what could possibly be holding things up. When I got to the agent, he looked past me to the man standing behind me and asked if we were traveling together. I was so annoyed I looked at the agent and said, "we were total strangers this afternoon but after being in this line so long, now we're engaged to be married." The TSA agent informed me that my sarcasm was going to get me arrested. So much for making a connection or the pretense of one.

Never ignore those who care for you
you will have lost diamonds
while you were collecting stones

Wow... I would have laughed.
So movies are full of shit, are they?
Too bad. Sounded like a great intro to something.

Technology makes it easy to interact with others virtually anywhere in the world. Sometimes, people lose sight of the fact that the person they feel 'connected' to is making others feel the same way. They mistake the friendly banter for something more than it is. Unless the communication is taken beyond the boundaries of the internet, they are just sharing space.

They're making others feel WHAT way? 🤔
Sharing space, huh? Well... as long as they're having fun. I guess...
What's the alternative? 😶

Difficult? 🤔
I think people are afraid to step outside their comfort zone. They're afraid to take chances. They're waiting for perfection. Perfect is a movie script - not real life.
I understand what you mean though. Pausing to smell the roses once in a while, is a nice way to slow things down.
Thanks for popping in. 👍

I am definitely a People Person I mean with the positions ( yep you can speculate on those- get yourself ready for a restless night) I've had - well necessary to be that type of person. I love a good dirty joke and love ribald reparte. What else did you want to inquire about

(Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group
