This has been an ongoing problem for months and months now. Escalate this issue to A F F programmers in the following manner. ° Copy the perfect version of your blog. ° Then copy the butchered version of your blog. ° And send... both versions to: Gold Support... and make sure to refer to Bug #CD-461 51 in the subject line. Although this specific issue hasn’t happened to me, you aren’t alone as I have seen many references to it by other bloggers. It’s ridiculous and discouraging. I hope everyone who has had the problem, contact Affairlook support. After all, there’s strength in numbers, right?

Yes it is a pain in the butt! The word me is not showing up so I have to go in and put it back in until it stays. I had these other two words not show up in my post today fund baby when I wrote about my ex who was a trust fund baby. LOL Why do they change the words they screw up? Yes it is a pain in the butt! The word me is not showing up so I have to go in and put it back in until it stays. I had these other two words not show up in my post today fund baby when I wrote about my ex who was a trust fund baby. LOL Why do they change the words they screw up? I haven't posted since this glitch started. You know they'll tell you to clear your cache and reboot your computer. The hardest part of getting anything fixed here is getting them to admit that the issue is on their end.

Here's the deal, Paul... This ain't a new problem. I see that Pocket Guy there says 5 years. I've been habituating this place for goin' on 15 years--it ain't changed hardly an iota. The "site" has developed an approach toward monetization of the peeps. They do NOT address any bugs... unless those bugs affect their P&L sheet. As long as they can maintain--or create "new"--hooks to get those add-on bucks, what do they care? Their bottom line is not directly affected by those Gold-Bucks… they rely on the tricks they've built into the system... like chargin' the non-Gold peeps to allow other standard peeps to contact them--all the while, the other standards are also charged to contact anyone. Sooner or later, most end up paying for Gold--AND THAT drives the bottom line. Now... if you are a Gold, other than your own ability to contact others, what good is it to you that a standard member can't contact you? Are you EVER really gonna know (in general) that non-paying standards can't really contact you...if you never hear from them standards? And now-- on to a trick I picked up back about 15 years ago... but it's not really gonna make sense for anyone who does NOT take their postings seriously-- I write ALL my posts offline (I use Wordpad, in Windows, as an editor 'cause it's simple and unobtrusive and I can do it in RTF) and then paste them into the AFFland posting editor. I keep the Wordpad original and make any changes I feel so inclined... to that one... and recopy into the posting editor. After I've completed the posting, and I'm satisfied with it, I copy from the AFFland editor and make a backup AS A SEPARATE FILE. Same filename--different extension (usually straight ASCII.) That way, when these suckers chop the crap outta your postings, you can simply "Update" your online post with a paste from your AFFland backup ASCII copy. It has all the text coding used by the AFFland system, and you don't have to screw with a rewrite. You may have to "Update" a dozen times--but their system will accept updates way faster than reposts... as the AlGore-rithms only check for NEW shit. ( BTW: ain't Al the one who invented this crap? ) Of course, this does not solve AFFland's internal issues. It just reduces the amount of hatred one might build up for this stinking place... which will surely rub off an your posts--inevitably. Believe it! I know... after 15years in this place. The reason I keep using it is that they are relatively neutral politically. I ain't too fond of being butt-fucked by Commies! Also--it only helps so long as they don't make changes in the underlaying platform (which happens at times.) In that case, you WILL have to rewrite your backups. As to system glitches--well... good luck. This is a rather complicated platform, in spite of HTML. And the longer they go between system upgrades, the worse it will get. I wrote a simple piece of software, back in the days of FOXBASE-DOS, which started out as a mere 2,000 lines of code. By the time I debugged and finalized it for distribution, it ended up nearly 6,000 lines. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to find an error in 2 or 3 million lines... with likely very haphazard documentation? Hope this helps lower stress levels for some of the peeps. Solar...
