Yeah... Some of the studies are just plain silly. I recall reading one that said smoking is bad... but if you drank coffee at the same time... Well thst, was less bad. ☕😶 Hey... Ginger Baker--one of the finest drummers ever to be pressed into vinyl! Yeah, those days are unlikely to be duplicated anytime soon. These modern "millennial" kids ain't got much of a clue--do they? Hell--98% of them have never even seen vinyl music, other than what shows up as shrink-wrap for their Amazon deliveries. I've still got maybe 200 LP's from back then. Still got my Technics turntable, with strobe-tuning for RPM syncing, and my Sherwood amp. But--these days, I just suck down tunes from U-Toob and capture them with my SoundTap software that yanks digits right outta my sound card... at up to a 360K sampling rate. Most peeps, with average eardrums, cannot tell the difference in sound quality, anyway.  Solar...

We took a sound meter on stage with us once... We hit 115 dB and were very proud of it. Lol... Idiots.... These days I do find that the music I hear live, or in home, is much cleaner, than ' back in the day'. Today's sub woofers put out such a powerful punch, that the volume can be reasonable, yet my heart still vibrates... lol Yep... I'm an idiot.... What's that you said? Yeah--SoundTap is undoubtedly the easiest and capable of most all audio captures. I normally use 160K for what I want to keep--anything more is pretty much a waste of memory space. But...if I'm attaching something to email, I use 64K or maybe 96K. Since I live out in the middle of a forest, the local carrier's idea of high-speed DSL is about 10X slower than dial-up.  Ya know, Paul... I used to have a sub-woofer--I had to put her down and get me a full-blown woofer. Solar...
