Luck Of The Draw?

Once again politics take its course over the good of the people. Today Ms. Haspel is under fire for the Head CIA post. It's funny that the biggest attacks of her come from the California Senators. Both female toward another female so there goes the Feminist post. M's. F was no surprise, getting her facts wrong and barfing jibberish as her norm these days. And then we have Kamala Harris, a woman that proves my point exactly.

She is of the Democratic seeds, her reason being placed on such committees. Bulldog questions for her own benifit along with her party. A Badgering learned from the courtroom, knowing in open section it can't be answered.

For myself I'm excited of her placement, not only because of her sex but because she has been in the department since 185. Post and top jobs are normally given as gifts to those who aided in election, meaning vast amounts of time wasted just understanding the job. And even then you have no relationships within so you're at a loss going in.

So it really pisses me off that D loyalty is put before what's best for our safety.

A side of all that I'd guess she will be confirmed but if we can't give in on such an easy point/apointment then how the hell can we ever put heads together to figure out the tuff stuff? And once again Sen. Paul needs to learn the Reagan Rule, 80% of what I want is still a win.

She will be confirmed, and I am fine with that. Getting qualified folks in government seems to be a problem these days. I hope the administration keeps going for experience over politics.

Also, we need opposition voices in order to find the best ways forward in any endeavor. So yeah, some of these voices seem ridiculous, but the Republic needs them none the less.

Like Keith says "we need opposition voices in order to find the best ways forward in any endeavor."
and

Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution says that the President “shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint high government officials.” That is what is happening.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I like her. She was so cool under that pressure.

Tunnel vision can be a very dangerous ailment....true, there are some on the right with tunnel vision, but that number is tiny compared to those on the left who will fight to the bitter end to get their way. I'm not saying that all on the left are like that, but, sadly, it seems those who care about the country first before the liberal agenda, are growing fewer and fewer.....
