Complements?

Complements, is this now obsolete?

At one time ( yes, showing my age ) you would complement on your fellow female appearance and not worry if you complement was going to cause an issues with HR or you had to go to training class for sexual harassment.

When a woman takes the time and the expense to do her nails, hair and shop for a new wardrobe. As a male it doesn't cost a dime to notice and just let her known via complement that you notice her new appearance.

Just my two cents.

 Don't worry about that. Just don't "Compliment" a woman to get her to have sex with you [to go out with you].

If you think a woman is attractive, or more attractive than usual, go ahead and say so, even at work.

It's past time for men to be men again. A man can "Compliment" without being creepy.

 Agree with Heathen. We get to an age when compliments are welcome. Some women are just so dumb they fall to the narrative of what some perceive as harrassment. Its bs. Now, tell me I’m hot. 😜

 Same. kind of goes, for the Age of Chivalry !! Use to hold the door open for a female and told, Thank You or other Compliment and not told, I'm quite capable of opening my own door !!! 🤠

 I still hold the door and if they say something, I just tell them that's the way I was brought up. Most of the time they just walk past me.

 For me it's hard to accept a compliment since I never gotten any from ex lovers or otherwise

 In my head, its ok to say you like their nails or dress or whatever. It is bad to say they look sexy. Of course it helps to be friends so you know the co worker isn't going to take things the wrong way and report you.

No guarantees with female friends. A woman [at work] friendzones a man, for whatever reason/s, ....fine, but a man being her neutered gay friend [friendzoned] won't stop her from reporting a man to HR. So still be careful not to cross the creepy-line.
