 I need to read some of the books being discussed in your post and the comments to see what I am missing out on or not, as the case may be!

As for age - I've learned that each decade that passes I'm more comfortable with who I am and where I'm at and increasingly I've learned not to give a hoot about a lot of things that mattered when I was younger. It's rather liberating and I hope you have the same positive experience!!!
