Do You Give? I don't know about what is going on in your part of the world... but in Elizabethtown Kentucky... we have a lot of people who stand on the street corners with signs begging for money.... If I feel that someone is genuine and in desperate need of help.. I have been known to give a few dollars to them.... DO YOU GIVE TO PAN HANDLER??????? THANK YOU GUYS FOR FOLLOWING MY BLOG |

In Montreal , there are many of them as well. They sometimes catch me at a red light. If I have spare change, then I might give it to them. But there are also scammers (in this city), who supposedly can make more than $40,000 pretending to be poor when they are not. It depends on the situation. I will give a couple of dollars but you have to be careful most of them will either buy alcohol or drugs with the money people give them.

Is the money you donate going to food and clothing or is it paying for alcohol or drugs. Give to a shelter, that way you KNOW what it will be used for Be safe, relax and just have fun!

][ do when they feel right. Not hard to tell the parasite*z, ][ntution ring*z like a BeLL !  Most often ][ bring them with to a store and get them something to eat, drink, and some spare change. There has been occasion that ][ have given them all (\/)y change.

If it's convenient I usually do. Mostly they're intersections here so if I have to stop next to one I'll give them some money. I don't much care what they're using it for.

Seemingly one excuse to not give to beggars on the street is "Sorry, I've no change on me". So to combat this, some beggars have their own contactless debit card terminal where you can just tap and go.

I have but nolonger. I found it funny who the same people stand at the same spot month after month. Maybe the grass isn't greener on the other side but if I'm surrounded by weeds I'm going to give it a chance. A report here locally claim they earn 180-220 a day, being tax free that's a middle class job. Not bad if you can get past the stink

They can actually make a descent living on the begging routine and do very well in the larger cities by changing locations. I give to actual charities or to my personal friends who are on their butts

It is happening everywhere I have been in the last 15 years, and getting worse. I WILL stop & give $$ to women, they are very rare on the streets and usually are not scammers, and shelters for women are few & far between. Men, no longer, despite the fact that 5 years ago I was homeless myself & on the streets. There are places almost everywhere for men, tho men with disabilities dont have much choice. But beware, some men that appear disabled and are panhandling are not disabled at all and are just more sophisticated scammers.

I give often to those that have less than I do. I try not to judge others. I wrote a blog about something similar, a while ago, about something I've seen another do, if anyone would like to read it. Thanks Cuddly, for bringing this topic into discussion. Being curious and asking questions is a good thing!

I usually give to reputable charities, but have given small amounts to panhandlers that I feel are actually in need, a lot are phony though, they panhandle at different locations, then when they move on they walk a little way and jump into a nicer car than you have. I love the way you make me horny without even doing anything.

i would give my shirt off my back and all the money i had to help another....we should never judge others... If we needed help I would pray someone would have the decency to help me...
