Ummm DUH. I asked a somewhat similar thing a year or so ago, and learned the some people assign significance to the order of the letters!  For example, a FMF is different from a FFM.But I have to admit, with the right F, MFMs can be fun too. MMF for me...its the type I once suggested to my wife. Mainly, so I could experience a man, and give her a little fun too! But mostly, it was for me!

We’ve tried both a few times. We prefer MFM, but finding an extra guy that we can make arrangements with doesn’t work out very often. If we could find more than one extra guy at a time, my wife would like to try that too!

From my understanding FMF is different from FFM in that FFM the females are ok with playing with the same sex. Same goes for MMF So FMF is no FF action. FFM is open to FF action. MFM is no MM action. I voted for FMF, I never had one yet. I've only had MFM a few times with a few couples in my area. It has to be a straight male as I'm straight. I've had only one bi experience with a couple who's husband was bi. It was hard to do and I probably never do it again.
