My Accuracy's Sake A Poem

I guess I must
Beat around the<b> bush.
</font></b>For I cannot just come out
And say what I should.

If only I could
Be more direct.
Like a sign
Giving instructions.
Like turn left
Or turn right.
Instead I am like
A weathervane
Atop of a building.

A wind socket.
I do envy their ability
To bend with the wind.
They can call attention
Without seeming vain.
Although their curse may be
That they are characters
Not to be taken seriously.

Why am I afraid
To say my piece?
Am I fearful that
You will think me weak?
Reject my view?
Think me a fool?
All of these things
And maybe more?

So I couch it in humor
I am a clock
If I am right
Twice a day.
Please let what I say
Be one of those times
For my accuracy's sake.
