Struggling With Your Absence. A Poem

I just need this night to pass
Get through it til morning
I am weak with emotions
Tears are precipitously
Close to falling.

I wish I were stronger!
I wish I weren't struggling
With your absence
Like it was a thirst
Or hunger.
But I am
And I need to get over it
Before too much longer!

My mind needs an off switch!
My heart needs a vise grip!
To keep it from tearing
Apart any more
And into pieces.

Yes I can be melodramatic.
Yes I can exaggerate.
But the point is the same
I am missing you
In the worst effing way!
The night just seems
To highten it's effect.
With the lack of any
Human contact.
My loneliness magnified.

The morning will shed
New light.
The day may even seem bright
Compared to the darkness of night
Not just in U V rays
But in my viewpoint.
I just have to endure until then
And sleep if I might.

 I get lonely myself in the night.
I mean especially lying in bed.
I fall asleep putting up a fight.
I ache as this hunger isn't fed.
