I'm jumping ahead of myself here...

I haven't actually scored a meet-up with anyone - but I've been thinking about worst-case scenarios if I DID manage to hook up with a member of this site (or someone from any other dating site I'm on). What would scare me? Well, how about if the woman I met up with turned out to be:

1. ;
2. Married to, or involved with, someone else;
3. Possessive and wanting more out of the relationship than I do;
4. Batshit crazy;
5. Nothing at all like their picture(s);
6. In disguise, and underneath the facade of human flesh, actually a bloodthirsty insectoid alien that wants to incapacitate me with giant pincers and suck my brains out with a straw.

Am I being paranoid? Do the meet-ups that result from<b> websites </font></b>like this generally go well? I wonder what the gals around here fear when it comes to their prospective meet-ups. I have to think it it's far scarier for women than it is for guys - does this mean they're more wary and less receptive than men when it comes to the whole online dating thing?
