Sanity in Denver
Sanity in Denver Marijuana out of the shadows It's awesome being in Colorado. You can buy weed the same way you buy incense - in the open and from folks who you suspect are hippies. They're incredibly patient and friendly folks to deal with and not a single one took my wallet. Much nicer than buying weed in the shadows. It's so sane, that's hard to believe it's finally happening. Decades of pointless wars to eradicate it and reason finally won out. I walked out of a place with a smile on my face and a receipt that showed my purchase had contributed $15 to the general happiness of the great state of Colorado.Truly win - win. After they check your ID, they buzz you in through another door into the main store. This is the part where you expect to see the strippers, but no, it's a well lit, very retail looking space that is wall to wall weed and accessories. It's truly awe inspiring when compared to getting a nickle bag from your roommate. Whatever you purchase is labeled and packed with enough care to make a Japanese department store clerk feel shame. It's as if the Oracles were handing me the sacred weed, and saying "this is yours now, treasure it and you will be rewarded". Your field weed reporter, Live from Denver Jamie Sinclaire |

Jamie, A nice article. I don't do weed myself, but we did just legalize it here in Oregon. I do have friends that use it. It's nice to be welcomed into a store and not be looked down upon...

Obviously, I made the wrong decision when I decided to move to MD instead of CO. Who knew? Went to school in CO, glad to see things have changed. Hmmm ... how's the snow? Planning a ski vacation ... I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man. - Winston Churchill
