There is something about Singapore
There is something about Singapore Recently we travelled to Singapore. We have always enjoyed it here but it has never been our favourite destination; a little too western for our tastes when traveling in Asia. Plus it is expensive Recently we went there again, and this time took advantage of Affairlook to make some dates before we left. Wow, what a fab time. We really enjoyed the new friends we made, had fun, saw some nice bars and cafes and generally mucked up a bit. One of the things we really liked is that you see a lot of mixed couples in SE Asia, especially older men and younger women. Often these are great relationships, but sometimes you have got to wonder. We had none of that experience in Singapore. Just great couples. Secondly, there seem to be many profiles saying "no Indian men", which also scared us off. But now we have met a couple of couples with an Indian man, and they have both been good experiences. We are going to keep an open mind about this, and take each individual as they come. xx |

This is a good experience. Wish you both visit Singapore again.

We really enjoyed the new friends we made, had fun, Glad that you met some friendly people and that you enjoyed yourselves in Singapore. I've never yet used the network from this site in Bali, but when I first joined I based my profile in Jakarta as I was traveling to Indonesia often. Thus the Bule in my handle name (bule is slang for caucasian for non-Indonesian readers). I have to say that so many people I met in Indonesia through this site as well as many people that I have met in Singapore have been warm, friendly and fun. There are the inevitable trolls and drama-fomenters. But they typically do the rest of us a favor by saying things like "No Indian men" - grin - which generally says a lot more about them than about Indian men. Not that I am hyper-experienced, but I know a couple of different Indian-origin men through this site who have shared fun in swap-dates with me and our female friends. There are good and not-so-pleasant people in every community (of course). Yet it has been my good fortune to meet many of the good and few of the not-so-pleasant in both Indonesia and in Singapore. Late to say so now that you are back in Bali . . . but welcome to Singapore - welcome any time. And safe travels.
