The AFF IM Debacle

We have been on Affairlook for a long time, since about 1997 when it first started out. The IM has always been a little flakey, but here lately, at least since we've gotten back on it has become pretty much unusable. Every time you switch it to 'On IM' and go to another page on here, it turns itself back to 'Busy'. I've seen it literally switch off all by itself. Are you guys having the same problem or are we maybe having some kind of browser issues?

 I've been on and off Affairlook since about that same time and have really been disappointed with IM not growing with technology.

Even in the profile information, alternative social media/messenger portals have not been updated to keep up with the changes in technology, apps, and social media.

We tried the Affairlook App and it worked about twice and now it won't even open. The IM on here has always been famously bad, but it seems here lately it is just about worthless. We figured it was a browser issue and tried it on a couple other browsers and it's definitely the IM, at least for us. It's a shame, it's probably one of the most appealing aspects of this site and the only real tool the free members get to use on here (that being debatably a good or bad thing lol)

 I've been on here for just about as long, and it has always been a nightmare.

I don't like that it only has 2 settings - "on" or "busy". It gives viewing members the false impression that you are even interested in chatting.

I'm afraid there is no hope that they will ever fix it, to satisfy everyone.

I'm still waiting on a "labelling pics" bug that had been reported for well over a year, before they even assigned it a bug #.

You'd think as long as the site has been around they would have gotten around to fixing it by now. I think they are moving away from the swinger aspects of the site and trying to turn it into a cam/porn site, which is a shame really. It used to be great for swingers, now it's just guys fapping and demanding pics.

 I have been having lots of problems with messages not going through on IM and through regular messaging. It has been very annoying.

We haven't had a lot of issues with regular messages going through, but we have noticed that we sometimes get a message notification and there isn't anything in the inbox so we're likely having that problem as well and not even noticing it.

 I was on the IM for a little bit this afternoon and noticed that the damn thing cuts itself on and off every time we go to a different page. View a profile, the IM cuts off, go to our blog, IM cuts off. Jesus what a frustrating piece of shit that is. It has always been flakey but it's getting to where it's damn near unusable in it's present state. I wonder if the cams on here are eating up bandwidth and the IM debacle is some sneaky way of throttling it that they didn't code well.
