what ya good at?

We each have our natural talents.
We tend to be good a some things and not so good at others.

When I was in College my parents brought me to NYC to take some aptitude tests. The theory was, if you find out where your strengths lie you could then pinpoint the career you would be good at as well as happy.

They tested folks that were very successful and mapped their common aptitudes. Based on ones own results you could see the areas you would be most suited for.

But beyond knowing formally, there are some things that you are just good at and people depend on you for that.

There seems to be plenty of things at work where I seem to be uniquely qualified. It's a good feeling.

Do you recognise talents in yourself?
Maybe it's like in the Breakfast Club and you can put on lipstick while holding it between your breasts. But I'm guessing it's more than something like that.

What are you good at?

In high school I took some type of test to see what profession would best suited me...

...I was nearly right down the middle for everything...so it was open ended at what I should go for in college

Baffled them but then again, they were rather bad to begin with. I could have graduated a semester early from high school but they forgot to notify me on that.

Ah well!

The place I went for testing, Johnson O'Connor, has been around for years. My Dad and Uncle went when they were young.
Sounds like you could do a blend of things.
I for one, was not going to be a concert pianist or a brain surgeon. Lousy finger dexterity.

Well, let's see here

I'm good at bowling, and since I am...I guess I should go pro and make my money that way.

I'm good at pissing people off...so I should be a cop.

I'm good at giving head, so I don't really see a problem with being a prositute. I mean, if you can do it that well...why not get paid for it? Oh wait, there are so many diseases out there...that may not be the right profession...

I'm good at numbers....I should be the guy that gets paid to keep score for the Tennesse Titans.

Hmmm...tough calll....I guess I'll just go on doing what I have been for now....

Hi Mandy, Thanks for stopping by!
My bowling Average has certainly gone down since I was in a league.
Escort dear, much safer.
But Mom is certainly the best although you'll get no rest.

Hehehe...I know there are some things I'm not good at, even though a test may claim otherwise. Just either not my cup of tea of what I want to do or feel that I wouldn't be good at it. It's nice knowing what our skills are & what we should avoid

Guess you'll have to be a Jack of all Trades with aptitudes across the board.

On my blog, I have an entry (check in header, under about me) called You Can Call Me 'Jack'... ...it's about being a JOAT (Jack Of All Trades). I'm good to a point, some things not as good but others I can excel at!!
