Moving on

Slow but sure things are moving along.
Although they did move out Oct 1st much of their stuff was left behind to be moved later. I would have preferred sooner...

One room has been cleared out and I began setting it up as my office. Finally can start living outside the bedroom.

There is so much to do. I need a Divorce Shower or a house warming party! So many things to buy to help make my house into a home. The whole interior of the house was painted in preparation for when we were going to sell. Nothing is on the walls and there are no curtins up. The place echos.

I dismantled the home entertainment system and just left the TV; again assuming that I was moving. That all needs to be set up again.

I have been cleaning up after the messes they left; kitchen, fridge / freezer, bathrooms, etc. And the great thing about cleaning now is it stays that way from the time I leave for work and when I get home! Ahh, the simple things.

I think we take for granted when we have a home set up and everything is just comfortable and routine.

I actually entertained! First time in a long time, even before the divorce. Two friends came over. Movies, popcorn, fire in the fireplace. It's nice. Then again it was just the guys.

Where is my woman! Ah but I wouldn't want to invite her over until the place is a little less of a disaster area. Not that it's bad but...

Agreement still isn't signed since Her Attorney had more language changes. Fucktard. He had his chance before. Building up his billable hours I suspect.

Alimony started. One down, many to go.

Who has been down this road before me?
Any advice?
How did the transition go for you?

Cheers,
SR

Good luck. Been there. It just takes awhile.
