++ 75 years !! ~~

Today is the 75th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Europe, via beaches at Normandy. The Normandy landings were the landing operations on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in history. The biggest memory should be those military members from so many countries that exposed themselves to danger to serve. We are at a point in time that these selfless people are aging, and each year there are fewer and fewer. We have several in this area and we make sure that they have the comrades of other military members and a grand lunch and maybe sneak them a little beer at lunch . Take a moment today to consider the people involved in this momentous occasion and admire their courage.

I wonder how many of the kids (young and old) realize that the Grand fathers or maybe great grand fathers are these heroes. [image]

I know one guy that did the invasion. Such a humble guy, but you know he has seen and done things that no one should have had to do. May God bless him

Thanks to all of those who participated in the invasion and beyond to secure the freedom of the world and God bless those who so gallantly gave their lives for us.

There is major TV coverage over here in the UK this morning, of the Memorial Services in Normandy. Many veterans of the Greatest Generation, making their 1st and possibly last visit there since 1944.

They should never be forgotten
