Being Mindful and Living In The Moment
The past two years have been especially difficult for me. Those of you who are my friends know this all too well. It has been and is hard for me to grasp that worrying doesn't help. I know that it doesn't, but yet I couldn't stop worrying.

It has taken me this long and with so many dear friends telling me that I need to live for TODAY, not for the past and not for the future. This means letting go of the past hurts and disappointments (but not the good memories). This means to stop worrying about what may or may not happen in the future. There's not anything I can do. If bad things are going to happen, they will just happen and then I will deal with them. If they don't happen, well then I would have spent all this time worrying and not enjoying the moment which is here now -- called TODAY.

This song says it much more eloquently than I ever could. It is called: Living In The Moment and is by Jason Mraz. Please read the lyrics -- listen to the song on You Tube. And, if it applicable to you, try living in the moment. I am. (trying that is...will take some practice but I will make it).

shy_lady4u, It isn't easy, is it? Over the years I have spent so much time worrying about things. Some happened. Some did not. I know my time and energy is better spent just living for the day -- in the moment. I too have many friends who lead by example and I am learning from them. I am glad that you too have friends who can help you learn this very wise concept. Hugs

Apollo, Thank you for the wise words...... I am learning to live in the moment and trying to give up worrying about tomorrow, or next week or next year. This is not an easy thing for me to do but I have great people guiding me.
