Another Sucker Born...

I'm still relatively new to the site since I basically stuck to blogs once I discovered how to do one. And I was just becoming comfortable having somewhere to write my thoughts and views.

But, as usual, it seems I'm late to the party, because most of the blogs I enjoy reading seem to be putting up one of those aa ff ff subscription cancelled thingies; getting out of Dodge in a way, I suppose.

Seems I came along when things got really bad, when the inmates took over the asylum, when the chimpanzees got loose on the deck and started releasing all the other animals. Just imagine this taking place during a raging storm with no port in sight.

Should we go below deck and hide, or should we try to get all the animals back in their cages?

I guess the site-runners aren't worried about the message all those cancellations are sending. Usually that kind of arrogance results in a business closing its doors eventually.

But I guess when it comes to sex and porn you never have to worry about losing customers. Always another sucker... (paraphrasing a quote often, incorrectly, attributed to P. T. Barnum)

I'm also hoping they come back soon. I really enjoy exchanging views and reading other peoples writings.

I'm something of an introvert who doesn't communicate much, so this does help a lot.

I was on another site before this some years ago. But if you weren't seeking sex then you really didn't belong there. I didn't belong there! But it was from there that I discovered this site.

 I felt for some time now that the site wants to discontinue the blogging element of the site. I hope I'm wrong but they have driven people out and continue to do so

You might be right.

I do know that there are sites that offer sex and hooking up, with not much other forms of inter-acting, so I'm sure that might be appealing to them. But the question I have to ask is: what do they lose by having people blogging and interacting in this way.

I might be wrong, but it seems that the people they are driving away are the people who are paying their hard-earned dough to be here, at least, the ones I've come across that left were 'gold-ball holders'.

Well, I hope we'll have a reincarnation of some of the more exciting and interesting ones. It's nice to be able to blog in a place where I don't have to 'de-color' my language.

At the same time I've been on an intellectual site blogging before, where I had to reign in my verbal purging, so I'm sure I could go back to doing that.

But it's nice to barf un-apologetically from time to time.
