How Do You Feel About the New Site Policy?
I signed on last night to see I had a mail waiting for me. Hoping it was from one of my friends that I write, I clicked on the link to my mailbox, only to find the announcement that I could receive mails all I wanted... I just could not read them.

Several of the other "adult naked fun dating" websites also had this feature: you could preview who was sending you messages, but you could not read them, nor could you chat with them, etc. At the time, I thought that I was pleased that Affairlook had not gone down that route.

And, yet, here we are.

Personally, I am pissed. The same folks who not only couldn't protect their customer information, but they also didn't tell us that they had been hacked until after the media broke the story, now wants me to pay out my hard earned money so that I can have the same privileges I used to have for free - oh, and some other handy ones, as well. They've been hacked once; my account was one they originally announced hadn't been, then it had been, then it was undetermined if it had been or not.

This is a business. Their only job is to provide a service, and make money. If not enough people are paying for the service, you can do a few different things: raise membership prices; limit access to paying members; further limit site privileges to paying members; fire folks, or outsource their jobs to save money; or shut down. Which choice was best?
Raise membership rates
Limit access to paying customers only
Further limit site privileges
Fire/Outsource jobs
Shut down the site
Some combination of the above (feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments)
Another possibility that I did not mention (again, leave a comment)

 If you've made any calls to CS, you'd know they've already out sourced that.

It would have nice to have had a warning on this latest move.

I'm sure a lot of other members would agree with that, in order to try and keep connection and communication going.

 I know it's a business but most standard members are not paying simply because they're satisfied with they way costumers are treated! They don't know how to run a business, means well they shut it down!!!! Several hundreds have left already in just few hours.

 it seems that things have changed through the years that i have been on here, and every time, it's for the worst. people that are friends are now gone, new friends don't want to go with the B S. and the service sucks, shut down is what i say.

 Their business is suffering because they have not substantially updated the site or fixed any of its many problems for years. Their reaction is typical. Sadly so is ours... which is to find a site that works better, costs the same or a little less, and doesn't keep changing the rules.

I've been here for eight years and have paid for the service on and off. I am no longer a paying member and never again will be unless they make significant improvements.

Now there's no incentive for a new member to stick around and eventually pay for the site. As a new (non paying) member, there is no way to figure out what all could be here because your free membership is too restrictive. Adios Affairlook.
