Better know a Dunatis2k, part 44 of 83: Models/Photographers

I am not very photogenic.

I am very jealous of those who have pictures of them taken where they manage to not look worse than they do in reality all the time and I have no idea what it is but in a mirror I look ok, then I take a picture and suddenly I hate my face.

I've met people who look worse in their photographs and those who look far better and have stopped relying so much on photos as a means of figuring out what people look like. Something is just lost on some of us when a photo is taken, some amount of personality just disappears it seems though the photographer may also be to blame.

A professional photographer (or at least someone who has some idea how to use a camera) can make people look like whatever they want them to. The right lighting, angle, clothing and pose can all coalesce into a picture than when I see it on this site I shout out FAKE!!! because it looks too damn good.

I've never been the model but have taken pictures for a friend to give to her boyfriend and managed to take some rather good ones although for myself I must be choosing the wrong people or being too hard on the results. But given the lack of responses on this and many sites from people who don't even bother to look at my profile it could very well be my profile pic to blame though without feedback it's rather difficult to tell.

I'm not a big enough fan of photography to want to take any courses in how to set up a scene the way that the professionals do but I would absolutely love to have a series of good photos taken of myself, both classy and erotic (any photographers out there can feel free to hit me up with a quote for the costs of such a shoot ). We should all be so lucky to have such excellent photos of ourselves, but people should at the same time try not to be quite so superficial as the camera can lie and never tells the whole story.

Love/Hate me for who I am, not who you think I am.
