Old Porn I recently got a kit to transfer old VHS to DVD and computer files. I did this because I have some old movies that I figure will never be released on DVD (such as Ghoulies 3) and a few that due to international Copyright law headaches will never recieve a US DVD release (Godzilla 1985 and others). I am keeping the original VHS but I wanted a way to watch the older movies without worrying about the tape snapping. There is also the space issue of where to put a VCR with the Blu-Ray player hooked up on the same shelf of the TV stand. So it took me around two weeks to find time to copy the old movies. That left the old VHS porn stash. I had a few of these out where I could get to them, even though they hadn't really been watched in a while. I copied a few of my favoirte videos and saved the on my computer. Then I decided to pull out the box from college. In the box from college, that has been sitting in the bottom of the closet for close to ten years now, are over 20 vhs tapes. Many of which have no labels on them other than long serial numbers. I really have no idea what some of it is. There are a few that are clearly labled, Like GInger Snaps which is a compilation of Ginger Lynn stuff. But some are 4 hour tapes with no indication of what is on them. So it has been interesting watching old stuff and saying "oh yeah, I remember that one". One of the most interesting things on some of the tapes is the PSA at the beginning. Random porn star in an<b> executive </font></b>suit behind a desk explaining the benefits of sex, mutual masterbation, explaining why gay sex is okay, etc. I find it very amusing that they added that to the beginngin of a lot of these old videos, siting medical references and doctor papers to prove it is okay to watch these videos and to masterbate. The other thing I notice looking back on some of them is the price tags. I know I spent that much bac in the 90s on this thing, and I can't beleive I did that. One is A bisexual compilation video that wa s $30, which I copied ealier today. Watching the entire thing, it occurs to me that there is better stuff out on the net for free right now. There is also the headache of finding time to go through it all. My wife knows I am doing this, and is okay with me transferring everything. But I still don't want to do it while she is home. We have watched porn together before. SHe knows I have bought bisexual stuff which she ignores. Still, transferring and watchign it with her in the room seems odd to me. FOr this being one of the few sexual things she approves of, I find that I am trying to hide it from her for fear of offending her in some way. How messed up is that? So I have another dozen or so tapes to go through. Should be done in a few weeks. Hopefully I will find some long lost gem in the collection. |
