Hey, I'm in the Midwest so I don't have an excuse to *not* be there. Next summer is good for me (because I'll be done with my exams and proposal and I won't be teaching) but my student budget wouldn't mind next May or August if the dates don't conflict with exams or the beginning of school. Sorry I have so many restrictions and disclaimers  But I hope we'll be able to pull this off.

I'm in with the summer crowd for 2016. Any earlier than that would require a bit of finagling...but could be manageable.

I'd have to start saving now; because if I was traveling all the way to Chicago, I'd want to stay there for a decent period of time. The longer lead time, the better. But don't worry about me - I'm not sure a "by then 63 year old blogger" will fit in with the crowd, anyway. It's likely all the other attendees could by 20 years (or more) younger than me. I think I can be pretty flexible, I almost never have stuff on my calendar that far out. Well, there is a possible book club weekend getaway the first weekend in October. Aside from that...
