Peek a Boo... So...Let's expand our earlier discussion about photographs, shall we? Now, we all want to put our best feet forward, n'cest pas? We coat ourselves with warpaint, don a flattering outfit, check the lighting, wipe down the mirror in the rest stop bathroom and practically dislocate mutliple vertebrae in an effort to capture the best angle of our fat asses. Or wait...Maybe that's just me.  But you've done it too- admit it. You've pored over old and recent pics to find just the right one to send to that "special someone". Or perhaps you were searching for a profile photo for this site...one that said, "I'm hot, but approachable." Or if you're a man, "I'm amorous, not rapey." Because, face it: That photo is your introduction and you NEVER get a second chance to make a first impression-- at least not around here. Y'all have seen my photos evolve throughout my time here. They went from modest to downright lascivious, and now they're back somewhere in the 'milquetoast' range. But I still have some of my more racy pics in my photo album, even though I'm 15lbs heavier and 20x less likely to respond to a message or IM request than I was back then. "But Gottaring! You've always prided yourself on your honesty and that ass-kickin' rack you have!" And yes, that's true. But I haven't taken those pics down because I'M VAIN. Truthfully, I don't even know who that person was anymore, lol. She looks like me, but she had something in her eyes back then that just isn't there anymore. These days I'm far more likely to send a photo of my face- I cringe at the thought of taking a full body shot. Don't wanna, and you can't make me  ! And personally, I don't believe that my rack is my best feature. My life experience, my sense of humor, my willingness to let you have the second-to-last cookie...these are the qualities that set me apart. They won't get me laid, but neither would a photo of my stretch marks and fat ass, lol.But take heed, Fair Readers- I'm not NEARLY as self-deprecating as I may appear. I'm simply REALISTIC. My physique won't appeal to the masses, I know that. But what I lack in Weight Watchers points, I make up for in IQ points. I just need to remind myself that beautiful women come in all sizes, and that some guys REALLY DON'T CARE about the outer trappings. And face it: If you can't handle me when I'm hairy, you don't deserve me when I'm waxed. Or something like that... When it comes to sex, I need a STRONG connection. Otherwise, the page just keeps buffering and takes FOREVER to load... |

I, too, believe that what I lack in Weight Watches points, I make up with my IQ. However, being in a land where petite Asians are the rage (99.99% of the foreign dudes here are only interested in Japanese girls), not being Japanese alone disqualifies me from consideration. But then, if ethnicity is the major factor, then I wish those dudes good luck. Interesting how these dudes never stop to think why there are so many married dudes with Japanese wives on Affairlook and other dating sites.

I personally have an issue with any photograph I post. Of course I currently resemble something that ought to be decorating the outside of a cathedral so that may be a reason. For me personally an interesting, witty voice in the blogs is something I really value, pictures are just a way to put an image with the voice. This is mainly due to my living here in flyover country a long way away from almost anyone, it's not like I'm going to drive across town on Friday and meet you for lunch and drinks( a marvelous tradition by the way) and you, noble ring are one of he closest bloggers to me. So due to my isolation I value the sexiest part of you the highest, what's between your ears. Take it easy, guns are cold.

I find myself thinking back to a certain friend (named Gottaring), who blasted me when I was so reluctant to put pics up here that actually showed my body - and guess who took the most BEAUTIFUL pictures I've ever had. Yes, YOU, little lady. I agree with you that if someone is going to "have" me, they need to accept the entire package, high IQ and crazy sense of humour and all. I know you will never sell yourself short, and "settle" - you are so very special, that only someone else really special deserves you. Just face it. You're beautiful, and you always will be, because you're beauty is the whole of you, not the sum of your parts - not that your parts are all that bad... Yeah, I'll admit it - I first journeyed to your blog to see pics of you. But I stuck around, even when you weren't here, and, now that you're back, I haven't left yet, even though you don't post those pics, and won't take new ones. Frankly, Gotta, unless you're claiming that my taste in virtual women is a little off, there must be something there to keep me coming back. So, yeah, you're beautiful. Deal with it.

Hell, you've seem my pictures and I get laid and I'm not half as friendly as you I think many (most) of us judge our pics and our bodily flaws much more harshly than others. (And yes, I'm loath to admit it I do the same thing too).

Giggling at the hair/wax quote - priceless. Realism is great but don't underestimate the number of people who think you're fabulous.
