Knock, Knock...

It's funny, isn't it?

We join social networking sites because they allow us to be 'discriminatingly social', lol. They help us escape the mundane bullshit in our Real Lives and give us a chance to meet people we would never otherwise encounter. Some are a boon, some are a bust.

And some are...Something different altogether.

From the time I started on this site,
GimmeAThrill has been my conscience, my voice of reason, my virtual poke in the tummy and someone I know I can count on to creep me out in a wonderful way. And now he needs my help.

Here's what I'm asking of my Wise and Compassionate Readers...

Take a second to read his recent blog post ([post 3181492]) regarding his health situation. Then sit and put yourself in HIS shoes. After you've done that, check your wallet, your purse, your couch cushions and dig up what you can. Is there someone who needs it more than you do?

And I know the internet is full of scam artists, sob stories and charlatans and what you choose to believe is up to you. But MY choice is to help a friend, and to ask my other friends to help me, help him.

Someone once asked me how I define the term 'rich'. To me, it means I have enough leftover to help someone in need. That's how I was raised and it's what I believe.
