Did you ever have one of those days....

Where nothing goes right?

I've been like that since I came back to work Tuesday. Maybe it's the "downer" following the high of "graduation weekend". Maybe it's just dealing with the people I'm dealing with at work.

I blogged a few weeks ago about how everyone has differing talents Gifts and Graces. I get that, I really do.

What I have a VERY hard time handling are those folks that are just asses. That are just natural pessimists. You know the kind I'm talking about.

My father used to describe them as having "punch me in the face, faces". All you had to do was look at them, and you were ready to beat them to a bloody pulp. They didn't even have to say anything. You just KNEW they were an ass.

Well, had a little bit of a set-to with a punch me in the face, face today. I hate it when I do that. I give them way too much power to make me that mad. But I gave the power away, and let him make me mad.

So, lunch time came, and I was driving around just trying to clear my head. I put in a CD I have from Bob and Tom. These guys have a radio program I listen to every morning. It's nothing but comics, and I ALWAYS am smiling when I come into work.

Lo and behold, a song comes on that perfectly describes my day. It's a song by Paul Thorn titled "It's a great day"

All I'll do is post the lyrics for you. Maybe you'll understand why my attitude has changed...
