My dreams were ruined when I married my first husband, I will never get to do what I always wanted to do now. But life is what it is and we just have to make the best of it as we can. I know I have a dream that I hope will be coming true very soon. I hope you enjoy your evening..
I am sorry to hear that you faced such disappointment earlier in life. Sounds like you have rebounded and have new dreams to fulfill. I wish you the best in getting there

This is a fantastic post, I sometimes wonder about that too.
I don't believe I will become rich and or famous, and I'm okay with that, there are too many naked pics of me out there. But seriously, I do feel that I've accomplished many of the things I set out to do. I also plan on doing more, and there's no reason why I can't do them.

You are right. Only You can determine your success. A positive attitude goes a long way to achieving what you want

Living my dream most of the time. There are always potholes and speed bumps in life. And sometimes one does have to do some things they don't necessarily want to do but they do it so they can do what they want. I expect that I will never accomplish everything I dream of because I firmly believe that I should always have 10 items on my bucket list and when I do accomplish one, I add one. I wouldn't trade my life with anyone
The idea of keeping and updating a bucket-list seems to work really well for you. I remember you mentioning it in another response . Sounds like you have been successful in your pursuit of happiness. I don't know many who can sincerely say, "I wouldn't trade my life with anyone." Well done!

Good post am I 100% there no I'm not and I know it's my fault. There are things that I will attempt to change but right now I can't until I get back to work.
Self-awareness and the willingness to change are big factors in achieving happiness and success. Best wishes in your pursuit.

I think that being successful is more about being happy with oneself, having enough to eat good health and the ability to adapt to the daily challenge of life. If I were successful in monetary terms I am sure I would be very unhappy and a slave to outside influences but I do enjoy the personal challenges that i set for myself.
Sounds like you have found the right balance that works for you! Personal challenges are often what keeps us motivated.

The fear of failure might just be the biggest obstacle to success!

I remember a brand of sports caps that had messages like that written on the inside of the headband - never seen them for ages....

Concerning reality now, I believe most people actually compromise the dream part with the reality part , in equal - hopefully- proportions
Not many can say they have followed their dreams unwavered

Problem starts when the incremental adjustments one has to follow through life foinally sidetrack us, and end up wondering how we got there

So I'd say, it's the little changes that one has to loook out for

Cheers my lady - P

You are right and I think many agree with you. Fear of failure can be paralyzing.

Fear can be such a driving emotion, standing in the way of what one desires. I truly feel that not trying something is worse than trying and failing. If you fail, we learn. If you don't try, we mite as well stop living! Gotta have faith in ourselves before we can share this others. Excellent post, pretty lady ... Happy Saturday - have a blessed day!

In Luv, Lite, Laffter ...

I agree that not many can honestly claim they have been successful in pursuing and achieving all their goals. Life is made up of 'small wins' and accomplishments.

I am to old to even think about failing, I worked hard for a long time to get where I am today, I don't owe any one anything, I have a nice place out in the country , real well water! A back yard that no one can see into. Just a nice private place to enjoy my Dec of life.. Happy, Yes, Content, Yes.. Lonely, No!
But all of took many years of hard work, lots of weekend work, two jobs at times. but with a plan, I made it and no one can change it now!!

The only thing I had a dream about that did not and will not come to be was owning a B&B and being the chief chef. The rest of the "house" I would train someone to manage. But then again I have done things I wouldnt dare tell my family that were full of wonder and joy for me. This virus has curtailed a lot for most of us so I have found happiness and solace on other interests

Sometimes we have to adjust our dreams for a number of reasons. Coming to terms with that can be a challenge but sounds like you have a good handle on it. Also, I detect a hint of 'naughty' behaviour which of course I can understand not sharing with family. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your perspective.

Thank you for the wonderful post....

Sometimes we have have to test the water by sticking our toe in it . It is hard when you have a fragile heart but taking things slow is always a good choice

Stay safe XO

If you don't try, you can grow stagnate and many years later have a lot of regrets. "Slow and steady' wins the race according to the Aesop's fable of the tortoise and the hare. Keep safe.
