I have never been one for keeping a journal, even though I have always been encouraged to do so. A friend of mine encouraged me to start writing short stories. He said I have really great ideas. It has been a lot of fun, because I have learned to express my creativity. Some of my stories are posted on the net on some site he introduced me to. I have always received great responses to my stories. I wish I had more time to write.

I was excited to see the blog section here on Affairlook. I have a lot of things on my mind that I usually don't share with others, but will now. I think that this will be my way of finally keeping a journal.

Great then. We will keep looking out for "ideas"

I've been keeping a journal since I was knee high to a grasshopper, and this is merely an extenstion of my 'anonymous' thoughts. Sharing and hearing other's thoughts can be exceptional fun, and very enlightening. Welcome, enjoy your stay, and keep us enthralled.

My sister was diligent when keeping a journal. She had volumes of journals when she died. Before she died, she would tell me about experiences she had that were not very positive, but reading through her journals I noticed that all her entries were positive. I asked her why and she told me that she always wanted her family to know the positive side to her experiences. In a way, I feel it would have been better if she added the negative, so that they could have learned from her adventures.
