IT’S PARTY TIME    In her book A Curious Invitation, Suzette Field wrote about the forty greatest parties in literature. As well as an author, she is a professional party planner. For her, a party is simply a social gathering, at which a group of people get together in the hope of "enjoying, displaying or otherwise promoting themselves". There are dinner parties, birthday parties, family parties, anniversary parties, fancy dress parties, house parties, garden parties, barbecue parties, disco parties, Tupperware parties, ballroom parties, cocktail parties, club parties, karaoke parties, house-warming parties, Avon parties, graduation parties, murder mystery parties, office parties, retirement parties, pool parties, Halloween parties, Christmas parties, New Year’s Eve parties, wine tasting parties, tea parties, rave parties, black tie parties, street parties, funeral parties, wedding parties, fundraising parties, Ann Summers parties, beach parties, masquerade parties, toga parties and sex parties. Almost any event is used as an excuse to have a party. Generally I love parties but there are some parties I love going to more than other parties. I’m very keen on house parties, disco parties, Christmas parties, funeral parties, wedding parties and sex parties. I’m less keen on club parties, karaoke parties, murder mystery parties, office parties, retirement parties and New Year’s Eve parties. I’ve always found funeral parties quite jolly affairs especially if the person who has died is someone I didn’t like! Work-related parties are either very boring if no alcohol is involved or very dangerous if lots of alcohol is involved. Dinner parties are okay, but it all depends who you sit next to for dinner. What was the last party you went to? What are your most and least favourite types of parties? My last party was a birthday party for my girlfriend. It was okay though, because of a mix of adults and and family and friends, it was a little constraining as I couldn’t get too drunk. I was also a host! One of the worst parties I’ve been to was my own New Year’s Eve party - only four other people showed up! The best parties I’ve been to are sex parties; they’re just like parties with lots of sex! However, I would like to attend a masquerade party, provided Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman aren’t invited! Any invitations will be gratefully accepted!    |

What was the last party you went to? I went to a Fourth of July barbecue at my sister's cottage. Does that count? What are your most and least favourite types of parties? My most favorite- pardon, my most favourite- I think is a birthday party for nearly anyone. My least favourite was my own retirement party. I retired on New Years Eve and so there was a short crew there. The personnel manager forgot to invite any of the guys who had already retired and would have come if they'd only known. So I was glad to be leaving but it was rather a somber affair and turned into a roast of me by a couple of friends. Still, I was well out of that place! Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

Hello Spunky (the name I give you is "the three questions man", but only 2 today!) My best party was my 40th birthday, a long time ago. About 20 of my friends (girls) had photographed their breasts and I had to put a name to each photo, I had the evening to compare photos and reality ... What was the last party you went to? I went to an Oompa Loompa themed party. What are your most and least favourite types of parties? My favourite is a fancy dress pub crawling party (well, it used to be!). I definitely don't care for young kids parties. Too much screaming!

Hard to say what are my most favorite as I like to be with people that important to me, and that could happen at any type of a party. Least favorite however, is easy - party with strangers that are too loud. What was the last party you went to? Was a childs birthday party , a wild one What are your most and least favourite types of parties? A private party for two is my favorite. Least favorite is a party with a lot of people that I do not know

My worst party is any party that is put on my "any" member of my wife's family. My last party I attended was Orthodox Christmas but I was dressed up for it!

What was the last party you went to? May 20th, my only surviving uncle's 80th birthday. What are your most and least favourite types of parties? I guess I like birthday parties ok, especially children's parties. I am not much of a party goer. We generally have funeral receptions here, not so much funeral parties. Now... something you didn't know about me... in another life I was once a Tupperware lady... although briefly. Hugh, you always have a standing invitation here if you ever are in South Jersey. I'm still intrigued about your past as a Tupperware Lady!
