FUCKING GOLDFISH  Two goldfish were in a tank and one said to the other, "How do I drive this thing?"! Goldfish are boring pets; they just swim around in a tank regularly opening and closing their mouths. As a I won a few goldfish at funfairs, but they never lived long under my care! I much preferred keeping tropical fish. Goldfish are domesticated carp, once widely eaten in China. From the twelfth century onwards, goldfish have been bred and kept as pets in China and beyond. It’s a myth that goldfish have a memory lasting only three seconds. Researchers from Plymouth University found that goldfish have a memory span of up to three months and they can even tell the time. Because goldfish are easy to keep and train, they are one of the most studied animals in laboratories. Scientists have found that goldfish can perceive the same colours as we do. Scientists have also found that goldfish are more drunkenly impaired when swimming in a bowl of whisky than in a bowl of vodka! I want to strenuously deny the scurrilous rumours that I recently fucked a goldfish! Have you ever kept fish as a pet? And have you ever had a pet goldfish?  I love this post! I even love the fucking title!Have you ever kept fish as a pet? A long, long time ago, yes. And have you ever had a pet goldfish? Even longer ago! When PD was a little girl she and her brother had two goldfish. They named them Romeo and Juliet. One day Juliet jumped out of the bowl and died. They flushed her down the toilet. The next day, Romeo jumped out of the bowl and died too. She thinks they shoulda named them Methuselah and Jared. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

Puns?  . **groan**  Those goldfish at fairs are feeder fish. It takes a stroke of luck or a team of scientists to keep them alive for long. My dad had fish. I grew up around aquariums. I'm staring at an empty one now. (It's a small one. 10 Gallon, I think.) It needs a good cleaning before I even think about bringing it back to life.
