UGLY TALES  Here are five ugly tales! Established in 1969, the London-based Ugly Models Agency supplies ‘ugly’ models. The agency has about 1,000 models on its books - see its portfolio above. The Ugly Models Agency declares: "We like our women fat and our men geeky, we like the extremely tall and the shockingly small. No one is too abstract for our books! We are Ugly." In China, Jiang Feng was granted a divorce and was awarded $120,000 in compensation because his wife gave birth to an ugly baby. In court, Jiang Feng’s lawyer argued: "When my ’s wife first handed the new-born baby to him, he was appalled at how incredibly ugly it was. He is a handsome man, and he had married a beautiful woman, so naturally he suspected his wife of infidelity, and confronted her." It turned out that he was the biological father but, before marrying, Jiang Feng’s wife underwent extensive cosmetic surgery to improve her appearance. His lawyer successfully claimed that "the woman had convinced him to marry under false pretences." Staff working at Pret a Manger, a natural fast food chain, are encouraged to give free coffees to customers they find attractive as a way of building customer loyalty. Ugly customers seemingly have to pay! Two upmarket restaurants in Paris have been accused of seating diners according to how ugly they are. The two restaurants, Le Georges and Café Marly, are owned by two brothers, Gilbert and Thierry Costes, who told a newspaper: "The good-looking ones are led to the good places, where they can be easily seen. As for the non good-looking ones, it is imperative that they be dispatched to the corners of the room." The brothers claimed that the policy raises the image of their two restaurants. Every year, there is an annual Mister Ugly contest held in Zimbabwe. Last year, at the fourth annual contest, there was uproar prompting violence amongst the crowd when Mison Sere was declared the winner. A three-times winner of Mister Ugly, William Masvinu, said the winner wasn’t "naturally ugly" and only won because of his missing teeth. After pocketing the $500 prize, Mison Sere said: "They should just accept that I am uglier than them. I hope to get a TV contract. I already moved around schools performing and showcasing my ugliness so this is a chance to make it on TV." Do you thing ugly people are discriminated against? However defined subjectively and culturally, I do think ugly people sometimes get a rough deal in life. I haven’t had a pay rise for five years and haven’t been promoted for ten years; my work colleagues tell me it’s because I’m ugly! Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is to the bone.  That's an interesting story about the Chinese couple. .. And I know there are those who say that there are no ugly babies, but I disagree. I remember a friend of mine's daughter being born and I thought (but didn't say) she's gonna look just like his mom. (That wasn't a good thing, imo. lol) But she is grown up now and she is a beautiful young woman who more resembles her own mom.  A lot of judgments are based on looks.  Many of those judgements are incorrect.

Yes, there is defintely discrimination against ugly people. I couldn't even get on that agency list You need to sue the Ugly Models Agency for discrimination!
