A SIX EX PARTY  My blogging friend [blog Fel7114] suggested I write about my leaving-do at which six ex-girlfriends attended. There was an open invitation to everyone to attend my leaving party at the local Labour Club. Though I had worked there for about 20 years, I didn’t want a big fuss for my leaving-do. No presents, no speeches; I just wanted everyone to come along to chat, drink and dance. I knew some of my ex-girlfriends would turn up, but I wasn’t expecting six! My ex-girlfriends probably came along to make sure that I was actually leaving town! Though they more-or-less knew of each other, I got increasingly uncomfortable as each ex-girlfriend entered the room. My friends found it increasingly funny! After a while, I wanted to try and get some control of this escalating situation. I decided that the best strategy was to get very drunk so that I’d be incapable of engaging in any meaningful conversation, dancing to disco music and, most important, remembering any details of the evening! The strategy worked though I did wake up with a very bad head the next morning. But I woke up alone with no ex-girlfriends in my bed! How well do you get on with your ex-partners? What have you done or what do you do when you meet ex-partners? Have you ever been in a room with more than one ex-partner? Generally I have good relations with my ex-girlfriends; and when I say good, I mean that we exchange pleasantries or at least Xmas cards! A couple of my ex-girlfriends are now even best friends. The only exception is my ex-wife. The relationship ended badly and just got worse after we split. Once I went into a restaurant with my new girlfriend, saw my ex-wife with her new boyfriend and immediately walked out of the restaurant. At the time I was pleased that she had found someone else as it took the heat off me!  |

I have been to parties that my ex-husband has been at because I was part of the San Diego surfer community for 19 years and still get invited to plenty of stuff. We're ok but I don't like to be in a cluster talking to him and his girlfriend. They don't talk about anything that I find interesting anymore. I would probably not have any contact with him in the future except for the kids' big occasions, like college graduations or weddings or babies being birthed. All my ex boyfriends except the last-almost-one are friends of mine. If you mean ex partners as in real...proper...partners then I don't get on with any of them any more as they are all dead....and no I didn't kill them!  I have a couple of ex fwb's who remain extremely good friends but they have never been in the same room at the same time. ~~Anais Nin~~

I am generally very cordial with my former partners. (Online etiquette and all.) I've also managed to avoid any bad breakups these past few years.  When I was younger I had two recent ex's show up at the same bar where a cover-band was playing. .. (They were remarkably similar women. They even drove the same year of Pontiac Firebird's. One was about 10 years older though.) The younger one had been my HS sweetheart. I kept trying to push her away on the dance floor, because I wanted to go home with the older one. .. The older woman wasn't having any of it. I ended up taking my HS sweetheart home with me. .. Sex, yes. Rekindled relationship, no.

How well do you get on with your ex-partners? Remarkably well- online. Some of my ex girlfriends are quite good friends. I keep two of my ex wives on a cordial basis, and my third ex wife is dead. I get on best with her. What have you done or what do you do when you meet ex-partners? "Don't I know you from somewhere?" Have you ever been in a room with more than one ex-partner? Rarely but it has happened. I told 'em to take a number, I'd be with them shortly. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

I basically only have one I call my ex.....we had two girls, so we have grandchildren. Obviously we are at certain functions that include birthdays and sports events and school concerts. I graciously ignore her but do talk with her husband.

I getting along well with all my x-girlfriends, I just don't get along well with my x-wife... really she doesn't care to get along with me. When I meet an x-girlfriend, hugs and kisses are exchanged. X-wife, not so much. 3 x-girlfriends with thier spouses were at my wedding Find pleasure in giving pleasure

I mostly have a one and only. There were a couple of what the eff was I thinking um, what, engagements? Never mind. One is a good friend the other blocked me every way he can, not that I really tried to keep in touch, just once with something newsworthy and New Year's greetings but no response.
