NO BLACK BITS, SOME WHITE BITS AND MANY YELLOW BITS This post is my contribution to the fifteenth virtual symposium kindly coordinated by the revered cult leader humorlife. Contributions to the 'Black and White' virtual symposium can be found at Participants List For The Fifteenth Virtual Symposium Black And White.  Tomorrow I’m off on holiday. I’m going to The Gambia in West Africa for a week to see the New Year in. Normally I spend New Year’s Eve at home, but I always find New Year’s Eve a disappointing event. Either I’m paying an arm and a leg to go out to a bar or a restaurant, or I’m forced to sing Auld Lang Syne with people I don’t really give a stuff about at a contrived party. This year, all in the African heat, I’ll be eating Gambian food, drinking Gambian beer and dancing to Gambian live music by the hotel swimming pool in the small town of Kololi! This will be my fourth time visiting The Gambia. It’s a great place to see lots of wildlife – sub-tropical birds, crocodiles, snakes, insects, hyenas, vultures, zebras, dolphins ostriches, mangrove swamps, monkeys to name but a few of the wildlife attractions. Below are photos of some of my neighbours during the holiday. Also, I’ll be able to reacquaint myself with the Gambian bumsters, young men hustling for money on the streets. When I arrive all pale-skinned, I’ll be a prime target for them! With my very limited knowledge of the Mandinka language, I’ll be able to say hello to them - Asalamu Alikum! The highlight of the holiday will undoubtedly be seeing people’s, especially my girlfriend’s, white bits. I find tan lines on women a big, big turn-on! What holiday present would you like to bring you back? What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? I’m still very behind in replying to comments on my blog posts. Also I won’t have time to read and comment on bloggers’ virtual symposium contributions until I get back. My apologies; I’ll do my replies when I have gained my newly acquired white bits! What holiday present would you like to bring you back? I want for nothing...other than wanting every other woman I see. What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? I plan to survive it and see NewYear's Day! I never make plans for New Year's Eve. I've never been to West Africa, but West Africa has been to me. When I was in hospital one of my surgeons was a tall elegant woman from Ghana, and two of my nurses were West African- one from Gambia I think and the other from Sierra Leone. I'm not sure how this small midwestern town lured three to my bedside. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

Count me among those hoping for an elaborate photo essay when you return... Including Gambian food porn. New Year's Eve is not one of my favorite holidays. It's amateur drinkers' night. My usual plans involve avoiding Times Square and not being on the roads. I don't want to become a statistic!
