THE POPE SENDS CHRISTMAS CARDS!  Yesterday was the day for posting Christmas cards. I managed to send my cards just before the last collection by the postman. I’ve posted a photo above of the Christmas card I’ve sent my friends this year. This year, I sent about 80 Christmas cards, and I calculated that I shagged one-tenth of recipients of my cards! Your chances of getting a Christmas card from me significantly increase if you have sex with me! The Christmas card was invented by Sir Henry Cole, a British civil servant, in 1843. One of his first Christmas cards was auctioned for £22,250 in 2001. In 2005, 1.9 billion Christmas (or holiday) cards were sent in America; in 2008, nearly 670 million Christmas cards were sent in Britain. However, sales of Christmas cards have started to decline with the rise of e-cards and an increasing number younger people declining to partake in this festive tradition. Do you send Christmas (or holiday) cards? If so, roughly how many do you send? Below is a selection of Christmas cards I’ve received from my good friends this year. Cards from royalty are unsurprisingly dull, and the Queen recycles her old cards! Surprisingly, the Pope sends Christmas cards; my card from Pope Francis is surprisingly racy this year! Tony Blair's Christmas card is of him suppressing a fart! I know many Americans like their guns, but this year’s Christmas card from the Nevadan Congresswoman, Michelle Fiore, is a little bit provocative!
