CHOPSTICKS

It took me ages to get used to eating with chopsticks. When I first came across chopsticks, it didn’t help when I asked my guest which chopstick is the fork and which is the knife!

Using chopsticks seems to be one of those activities that can only be learned by doing. Whenever someone tried to tell me or whenever I tried to tell other people how to use chopsticks, it never helped.

My only advice is to hold the chopsticks like a pen in your writing hand.

How good are you at eating with chopsticks?
Do you have any chopsticks in your kitchen?
What’s your favourite Asian cuisine - Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Mongolian, Singaporean, Thai or Vietnamese food?

I would describe myself as just about proficient at eating with chopsticks. I can go out to dinner and not drop my food on the table, though I’m not very good at using chopsticks when ordering hot and sour soup!

I will always use chopsticks even if given the choice of a fork and knife. I have a set of chopsticks at home but they’re too decorative to use!

I love Asian cuisine, especially Malaysian, Thai and Vietnamese food.

I’m not a big fan of Chinese food, especially Cantonese Chinese cuisine. Most of the dishes taste the same to me. I still like going to Chinese restaurants as I like spinning the lazy Susan around to stop other people taking the dishes I want to eat!

Also I’m not keen on sushi food, though I’ve never yet had sushi served on a woman!

PS. I just want to make it clear that I don't subscribe to AsianBabesDatabase!

When I started becoming an independent eater, we lived in the Philippines. We traveled extensively through Asia. I think I learned how to use chop sticks before I learned how to use a fork.
I am a fan of Mongolian and Japanese. The American version of most Chinese food is eh.
I do have chop sticks in my kitchen I buy the disposable kind and use them often.

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

2 - Bamboo. Porcelaine bowls, too.
3 - All of them, rijstaffels are great. mine is fine too ...

About Cantonese food ... there is a saying :
Cantoneses eat everything with legs except for tables and anything with wings except for planes.
"Most of the dishes taste the same to me." ... you're a loony, I already told you that !

How good are you at eating with chopsticks?
Not at all good- completely clumsy.

Do you have any chopsticks in your kitchen?
No. I think I do have an old hockey stick, but it isn't in the kitchen anymore.

What’s your favourite Asian cuisine - Chinese, Indonesian, Korean, Malaysian, Mongolian, Singaporean, Thai or Vietnamese food?
I haven't sampled that much. I'm definitely not a fan of curry! Around here we mostly see Cantonese restaurants, but this is a college town so there are other varieties. I've generally enjoyed the ones I've tried.

How good are you at eating with chopsticks? Pretty good - I can open a candy wrapper with chopsticks.

Do you have any chopsticks in your kitchen? I have a set of lacquered bamboo chopsticks decorated with ancient erotic pictures, and also a box of disposable ones.

Thai food is very popular here in the UK, almost as popular as Indian food now.

What’s your favourite Asian cuisine - Chinese, Indonesian, Korean, Malaysian, Mongolian, Singaporean, Thai or Vietnamese food? My favorite Asian food is Halushki, that's from the Polish region of Asia. Halushki or Haluski is a flour dumpling, boiled and served with sauteed onions and/or fried cabbage. Often just water, salt and flour, sometimes made with butter, egg. I don't like to order Asian food. I do make my own fried rice, stir fry and fried tofu sometimes.
I didn't know Poland had an Asian empire!

I think I've had too much hot spicy Indian food; other foods don't taste much to me any more!

Cantonese food is the most popular Chinese food around here. But I prefer Szechuam cuisine - it's drier and spicier than Cantonese.

Chinese food is very popular here, along with Indian and Thai food. We don't get much Korean, indonesian and Mongolian food served in the UK.

If you can open a candy wrapper, you are an expert with chopsticks.

I'm afraid I like my food very hot and spicy, so Cantonese doesn't really do it for me. A nice hot Indian vindaloo curry hits the spot though.
Thanks for stopping by.

Using chopsticks to eat is supposed to be good for someone's digestion as people ingest smaller portions than with a fork and knife.

Chinese is my least favourite Asian cuisine. When I say Chinese I mean cantonese which is served everywhere here. I quite enjoy Szechuan Chinese food which is drier than Cantonese food.
