THE ART OF THE UNMADE BED
THE ART OF THE UNMADE BED Patricia Larkin Green's UnMade Bed Casa Pucci: Patricia Larkin Green: Patricia Larkin Green: I’ve just discovered a new art sub-genre - paintings of unmade beds! Patricia Larkin Green is an oil painter who specialises in painting unmade beds. Above are three of her paintings. Below are paintings of John Worthington and Marc Whitney, two other artists who have painted unmade beds, and Tracey Emin’s My Bed installation artwork. For more on Tracey Emin’s bed, please go to FROM TRACEYS TENT TO HER BED. It seems that the art of the unmade bed is flourishing! I find the artistic fascination of unmade beds surprising. Granted an unmade bed can capture the imagination of what happened in the bed, but that’s about it for me. An unmade bed doesn’t really have any shock value. For shock art, please see EVERYONE I HAVE EVER SLEPT WITH, THE ART OF SHITTING, THE ART OF A RAM'S PENIS IN A COW'S VAGINA, PUSSY KNITTING, ART IS A PIECE OF PISS, A VAGINAL TUNNEL, BUTT PLUGS ARENT JUST FOR BUTTS, CHEESE FOR CHEESES SAKE and A PUSSY BOAT. Would you allow an artist to paint your unmade bed? Do you make your bed every morning? How often do you change your bed linen? I do love an unmade bed, especially the day after the night before! I rarely make my bed. That doesn’t mean I’m slovenly in the bedroom; I change my bed linen at least once a year! Would you allow an artist to paint your unmade bed? Sure1 I might even invite her to help me un-make it. Do you make your bed every morning? No, because my wife PD will just do it over again. I used to make it every day but she cured me of that. How often do you change your bed linen? Somewhat more often than you. We switch to flannel sheets in fall and back to cotton in spring. As long as you can chisel off the worst of the crust, it extends the life of the material not to over launder. I like all the still life with sheets pics you've posted, but it's mostly about style I think, rather than about the subject. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

Would you allow an artist to paint your unmade bed? "not" Do you make your bed every morning? I keep telling the wife, why make it, it doesn't get "messed" up!!! How often do you change your bed linen? I just lay on top of blanket so as to not mess the sheets. Blanket gets washed twice a week!

I don't make my bed, so an artist could come by whenever they want to paint it, if they so desire. I arrange things as I'm getting ready to lie down. (Unless I'm expecting that kind of "company", then I will make sure it's ready. ) My linens are in dire need of changing. I'm not going to admit how long it's been on my agenda. (I do pay more attention to my pillow cases.) Read my diary Journal of a Taxi Driver for taxi stories and pictures of flowers and trees.

Would you allow an artist to paint your unmade bed? As long as they tell me in advance, so I could create an artful chaos in my bedroom instead of the regular one. Do you make your bed every morning? Trying not to. How often do you change your bed linen? Mine is satin. I change it every day. I find putting the sheet back to front for a week, then turning it over for a week and putting it back to front again for another week also extends the life of sheets!

A painting of you in an unmade bed would be a masterpiece. Move over Mona Lisa!

If the artist offered you a million dollars to paint your unmade bed, you would never have to make a bed again!
