THE SMELL OF SEX   My sense of smell is not very good. Up to now, and on balance, I thought this was no bad thing as there seems to be more unpleasant smells to suffer than pleasant smells to savour. But I am now relishing the smell of sex with my girlfriend. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying she's smelly; I’m just saying I’ve not smelt sex before. I like it! She found that the smell of sex stems from a mix of semen, vaginal secretions and perspiration. That's a Nobel Prize then! But the smell of sex is neither slightly 'semeney' nor slightly 'vaginary', because semen is alkaline and vaginal fluids are acidic. When an alkaline and an acid are mixed together, they react to each other creating new chemical properties and thus new smells. Someone’s washing and eating habits also affect the smell of sex.
