THE DUKES OF HAZZARD




Until this week’s Half Nakkid Wednesday (HNW) theme was called, I was not aware what Daisy Dukes were.

Now I know that they are very short and tight denim shorts named after Daisy Duke, a character played by Catherine Bach in the 1980s' The Dukes of Hazzard television show.

I was not a big fan of The Dukes of Hazzard but I am a big fan of tight denim shorts. I love anything denim!

In celebration of HNW, I decided to purchase a pair of Daisy Dukes and wear them around town– see below. In town I bumped into Sharon Osbourne being filmed for a Money Supermarket advert!

No- I hated it. Catherine Bach was the only thing worth watching in that show and there was nothing worth hearing. Yeehaw! Let's all celebrate a couple of ignorant motorhead goobers! I knew too many of those peckerwoods personally. I do have to admit, if it had been a bit more realistic it could have aired as a National Geographic special, but it was TV...realistic? Not likely.

No, but I have removed a pair or two.

Right now, but they ain't Daisy Dukes.

 I didn't particularly like the Dukes of Hazzard and never wore daisy Dukes...in fact I can't remember when I last wore a pair of shorts.

 I am almost embarrassed to admit I watched the Dukes every week I liked the car chases and Daisy...OMFG...I had a huge poster of her in my room Those legs...mmmmm yummmmmm

BTW, She had her legs insured for a million dollars back in those days...well worth it

I've never worn Daisy Dukes but I used to wear the Tom Selleck shorts all the time. I usually wear shorts unless it's really cold then I'll wear some 501s or sweats over the shorts

 I worshiped the Dukes of Hazard. lol

It had a great theme song by Waylon Jennings. After it was over, it was bedtime. I would go to bed listening to the theme song to "Dallas". (I don't remember who that was by, but I can hear the trumpet now.)

I only really watched The Dukes of Hazzard because it was on and it was too much effort to get up and change the channel. It was pre-remote days!

I can't remember The Dukes of Hazzard's theme tune, but I can remember the Dallas theme tune. In fact, it's in my head right now!
